Workers often face hostile working conditions, some are forced to continue working in such a place just to earn the basic cost of living. They are expected to endure rude and inhumane behavior from their employers just to keep their job and it is absolutely unfair and concerning.  A woman—who goes by @ariganja on TikTok—shared how she was treated by her manager on the second day of work and it would make anyone question the safety of employees at workplaces.

She begins the video by saying, "My manager literally threw something at me straight up. So let me tell you what happened." She says that a woman walked into their store came to the front and told the manager who was behind the register that she might have been accidentally overcharged because the things that she purchased were in the dollar area. "And mind you this lady was super nice and she was like 'Oh, I know it can be an accident sometimes the computer does it like she was really really nice," explains the woman who worked at the Dollar General store.

"So he asks if she will go take him to where she got them right which they were over in the dollar area. And she's like, they were right over here and he's like yeah well they're not supposed to be here. So they were in the dollar spot he had to honor it. Like he was pissed about it, like super pissed," the worker shared. "So he goes grabs the entire container and there are those little things that you hook on the inside of your toilet and it makes the water change and it smells good. And he grabs them and walks them over to the front where I am still standing. This man takes them and f**king throws them at my feet. And when he threw them at me, it hit the shelf and everything on the shelf fell to the floor."

She says that everyone in the store was staring at each other as the incident was unexpected, "And the lady asked me, 'Are you okay' and I was like yeah I'm okay." He starts going on and on about how our other employees didn't stock them and that it really makes him really mad. He issued her the refund which was literally like $8 and he was that mad about," she added. "And I was just so shook, I continued to finish the rest of my day as I had just an hour from that point. But when I got home and told my husband what happened he was absolutely furious and he said that I was not allowed to go back. Because that was uncalled for and I completely agree."

Later she showed the message that she sent her manager which read as follows: "Hey Eric, just texting to let you know that I won't be coming back. Yesterday was an experience and having you throw those things basically at me it's just not a professional or good work environment to be in. Thank you." Ariganja then says that he tried to call her thrice but she didn't pick up the call as she already quit. He responded to the text and apologized for his act and said, "I would appreciate it if you would reconsider. You caught me at a bad moment." However, she said that her husband won't let her return so he replied, "Ok."

People in the comments section were upset with the way the woman was treated at her workplace. @Tinaa032217 commented, "Girl you're better than me because I would have walked right out then." @loveofharts88 shared, "Yeah that’s a hostile work environment. I’d report it and still not go back but no one else should have to deal with that either." @mamaseaton said, "Call corporate and let them know. That guy needs to be fired. I would have walked out right then. Some people should not be managers." @devleigh98 wrote, "Worked for Dollar General twice and it was by far the worst place I have ever worked." @memaw59_ commented, "It’s disrespectful and no way for a manager to act."
