Bella's mom, Kiley, not only attended high school with a celebrity but also has yearbook letters from him.

If your mom went to school with Pedro Pascal, and if he possibly even had a crush on her, would you be able to keep calm? You might tell a few friends or even make a video about it. That's exactly what Bella (@bellsontour), a 21-year-old TikTok user, did. She recently revealed that her mom, Kiley, attended high school with the "The Last of Us" star. In fact, Pedro wrote a heartfelt message to her mom on more than one occasion. "Every time I remember my mom was friends with Pedro in high school," reads the text overlay on a video shared by Bella.

In the video, Bella goes on to zoom in on a black-and-white yearbook photo of a young Pedro Pascal, who had graduated from the Orange County School of the Arts in Santa Ana, California, in 1993.

In the following clip, Bella quickly shows a long message that Pedro wrote in her mom’s yearbook, which included his signature. "Keep this!!" the future star wrote, pointing with an arrow to his sign. Pedro is said to have written a graduation card for Kiley as well. "Found the graduation card he wrote me, too," Bella's mom wrote to her in a text.

In another video that followed, Bella finally obliged to a highly requested "mom reveal" by treating everyone to an adorable photo of a young Kiley and Pedro. "To the disgrace of some and the joy of many, she is now happily married with four children," Bella shared, revealing a more recent picture of Kiley with her husband. "She doesn't have any more Pedro content, but her friends might." This video attracted more than 13.1 million views and 2.7 million likes. Bella's initial video on the subject was also a bit hit among Pedro-loving TikTok users.

Pedro fans were quick to comment on Bella's videos. "If anyone wrote me that I'd cry, much less Pedro Pascal himself," one user commented. "He coulda been your dad, but he'll always be our Daddy," another said. "He kinda seems down bad for her- did they keep in touch?!?" one fan asked. "Pedro Pascal was IN LOVE BRO," another TikTok user commented. While Bella's mom's happily ever after was elsewhere, it's a pretty big flex to have been friends with Pascal and to have even been a potential love interest!

What really struck people was how instantly the story made Pascal feel closer and more familiar than his screen presence usually allows. Such interactions create a strange sense of closeness between fans and the celebrity at the center of it all. A 2020 study published in Computers in Human Behavior explains that when a celebrity’s personality or past suddenly feels relatable or accessible, fans experience a stronger emotional connection because it aligns with their own identity and sense of self. According to the researchers, this effect is even stronger when fans are exposed to personal cues because those details trigger something called self-congruity, a feeling that the celebrity fits into a fan’s inner world.
