Despite the challenges that come along with being a public figure, celebrity status also brings about an overwhelming amount of love and admiration from the audience. Paul Mescal, an Irish actor, recently experienced one such rewarding moment when he competed against his fan, Larissa Rocha Baliza (@larissarochabaliza), in a game of "Who Knows Paul Best?" Interestingly, it turned out Baliza, who runs the Paul Mescal Pics (@paulmescalpics) fan account, knew Mescal better than even he knew himself. A video of the hilarious match was shared by Baliza on Mescal's fan account and it quickly took the internet by storm with over two million views.

The video began with the duo introducing themselves and talking about the rapid-fire game. Mescal expressed his excitement as he answered the first question about himself right and said, "I love how I am celebrating the fact that I am just knowing the answers about my life." The situation took a hilarious turn when Baliza took over and corrected Mescal on a question about his first film—one he had gotten wrong himself the first time.

When the host asked Mescal's middle name, Baliza rang the bell, hinting that she knew the answer. The "Gladiator II" star was visibly shocked as he said, "No way! How do you know this?" The host then proceeded to the next question about Mescal's favorite food and to this, the 'Carmen' actor giggled and said, "I think I get to decide what my favorite dinner is. I think I will be the judge of that Larissa and it's Carbonara. Hmm! one point for me." Well, this was just the beginning, and little did Mescal know that he would end up losing the game about his own life to his fan.

Finally, the moment arrived when the host asked about Mescal's graduation year. Mescal rang the bell and announced it was 2015, then glanced at Baliza and said, 'Did you not know this?' A perplexed Baliza corrected him, revealing that Mescal actually graduated in 2017, not 2015. "The Aftersun" actor responded with uncontrollable laughter, asking, "Was it 2017? Oh my God! It was 2017, sorry! I got my own life wrong there." Amazed by his fan's brilliant performance, Mescal admitted, "I lost that comfortably. And you know what, I hate losing but I have lost to a better Paul." The video ended with a warm hug between the duo as they expressed their heartfelt appreciation for each other.

The comment section was flooded with hilarious remarks by people who were astonished to see Mescal lose a game based on his life to Baliza. @jessicanichols wrote, "How could he forget 'Drifting,' we were all on the edge of our seats waiting for it back then." @danielpena commented, "Am I the only one thinking this IS kinda creepy?" @rachel wrote, "The cheeky 'it’s 2017, no?' had me cracking up. So excited for you!" @lauraskywalker absolutely loved the adorable video as she wrote, "We need more videos like these with famous people and their fans!! It’s so cute!" Meanwhile, @alvinadreke appreciated Baliza and commented, "Thank you, Larissa. I have to say that as much as I love seeing Paul it’s even better to be able to put a smiling face behind this account. It’s just wonderful to see you so happy and receiving the recognition you deserve. Us Mescalites couldn’t ask for a better ambassador. Strength and honor, always."
