The internet is teeming with travel hacks that people find extremely helpful. However, not every hack can be dubbed as the right thing to do during air travel. Though many follow the common safety rules while flying, some choose to find a loophole to make the journey more comfortable, not knowing that such behavior comes with consequences. That was the case when Lexi (@alexisburnaby1711) boasted about how the popular 'seatbelt hack' made her flight journey way more relaxing. While a few users agreed with her point, this video also gained a lot of criticism and warnings.

The video shows Lexi seated in a plane with both her feet up on the seat, and to keep her legs intact, she wrapped the plane's seat belt around her ankles. Addressing the one who made this 'seatbelt hack' popular, Lexi wrote, "To whoever it was that said to put the plane belt around your ankles, I owe you my life." Apparently, the content creator loved the comfort that comes with wearing the seatbelt around the ankles while having the feet up on the seat. In the comment section, Lexi mentioned, "I’m someone who has to sleep with my legs up and I usually tuck my feet behind the seat. I can’t sleep in a sitting position it’s too uncomfortable!"

With more than 15 million views, this video garnered huge attention from people pouring in their support as well as criticism in the comments. Few users loved the hack and wanted to follow the same during their travels. "I’m on your side. This is life-changing," commented @krisalyn_. "I'm on vacation right now. I'm so doing this on my way back," wrote @yourabum0.

However, thousands of users didn't approve of this idea because of various reasons. "There’s no way that’s more comfortable long term than just sitting," wrote @gx3strada. "My knee could never withstand being crunched in a ball for that long," commented @baddieriss. "It's so uncomfortable and I would feel like my legs are breaking. It's not safe also in case of anything," wrote @slipperywhendeadx.

Speaking of flight hacks, a passenger shared a popular hack to prevent people's feet from intruding into our space. Andre (@andreasellingsen) posted a video on TikTok revealing an annoying passenger behind him who kept extending their foot underneath his seat. To stop this nuisance, all Andrea needed was a bottle of water. In this six-second video, Andrea gave a smug smile and proceeded to pour the water on the passenger's foot. With just one simple hack, he gained back his leg space again. Putting his snarky humor to good use, he captioned the video, "Have a nice trip."  As of now, this fun video gained nearly 9 million views. People in the comments lauded Andrea for his ingenious trick.
