Parents separated twin daughters on either side of a door to test 'twin telepathy.' They were mind-blown by what they saw

When not in sight, the duo still showed an impressive level of similarity and it's heartwarming to see their intact bond through this shared identity.

It has long been said that twins share a unique bond that goes beyond facial similarity. It’s almost magical and unbelievable how they’re so connected, and the guess is that there’s some level of telepathy. Biri Anderson (@birianderson) decided to test how true this theory is by experimenting on her own twin daughters, Ava and Evie. In Anderson's video, her husband played a little game with the twins. He positioned the duo side by side with the door standing between them so they couldn’t see what the other was doing. The dad then gave them a couple of instructions and captured what their response was when not in physical contact or sight of each other. The similarity is bizarrely interesting.

The dad first asked them to raise their hands, and without a thought, both girls raised their right hands straight up with all five fingers pointed upward. When asked to raise one foot, the duo again raised their right foot respectively. You’d think it's just about their mobility, but there’s more. Ava and Evie were asked to do a “silly dance,” and both, without skipping a beat, began similarly moving their hands and head with their feet, almost like it was choreographed. Although Evie was a little more jumpy, both kids' styles remained the same.

The question that caught everyone off guard was “touch your elbow.”  The twins immediately touched their shoulders instead of their elbows, and both tapped their respective right shoulders. When asked to turn, they both twirled in the same direction, at the same time. On being instructed to stick out a finger, both pointed out with their pointing finger. "Pick a number," the parent said. Ava picked three. But here's the striking part, Evie picked 2 and stuck out two fingers, but her other hand was secretly holding one finger out, leaving the internet in awe. When the duo was asked to smile and do a silly face, they did have slightly different reactions. But the majority of their responses proved what studies show.

A study published by Science Direct experimented on 14 pairs of twins. Each sibling was separated from their twin and completely isolated, thus labeled as the "receiver." The other was given shock and surprise stimuli and was termed the "sender." The receiver’s electrodermal activity (EDA) was tracked by researchers to predict and identify the activity in the sender. It concluded that certain twins who have psychic tendencies can “replicate experiences.” A previous study quoted by the journal revealed that 30% of 600 twins surveyed suggested having "community of sensations," also known as "telesomatic events," where one responds based on the stimuli exposed to the other twin. According to National Geographic, it's hard to come to a conclusion whether twins have telepathy. For ages, while some studies concluded in favor of the same, others failed to replicate results. Psychologist Tania Johnson noted that due to the many metrics and factors involved, it's hard to determine a concrete answer. Yet, she noted, “Even if it’s not ‘telepathy,’ it is fascinating how deeply attuned twins are to one another’s emotions and needs.” Predisposed ideas, genetics, and several other factors can also be the reason for choosing similarity among twins. Nancy Segal, director of the Twin Studies Center at California State University, remarked, “If two people have the same emotional triggers, social habits, and experiences, they’re going to respond similarly.” So it could be a combination of all of these factors, but it's clear that Ava and Evie have a bond that's intact and tightly knit. @skadoodlenoodle0 said, “Universe said copy paste and took the day off.” @anna.lomsadze6 remarked, “I thought it was a mirror.”
