Every family is curious as to what the baby's first word would be, 'mama' or 'dada' and this family even made a bet over it.
As soon as a family welcomes a baby, they look forward to every milestone, no matter how small they are. From the baby's first time flipping over on its back to the little ones taking their first steps, some parents love to record every special moment. Especially when it comes to the baby's first words, along with the excitement of listening to "baby talk," there's also a little playful contest between the mom and dad if the baby says "mama" or "dada" first. That was the case for couple Jolie and Beast–who goes by @jolieandbeast on Instagram–who placed a bet on their baby girl's first words. We have a winner.
Ever since their daughter Jiselle's birth, the couple has been posting adorable videos of the little one's milestones. Last December, the parents shared their anticipation of their daughter's first words. Asking their followers to "Guess which parent just lost $500," the pair implied they had a bet over Jiselle's first words. As the father said, "Go on," at the beginning of the video, the little one in her cute baby voice said, "Dada." Apparently, the dad won hands down and the mom owed him $500. The mom's reaction was absolutely hilarious as she stared down at her baby, feeling deceived.
The caption of this amusing video read, "Mommy should have never made that bet. Scientists have said 'dada' always comes first before 'mama.'" With over 856K views, this viral video grabbed the attention of many people online and the little girl gave everyone a "baby fever." The comment section was filled with hilarious responses to the mom's reaction. Some also pointed out how it's natural for babies to say "Dada" first because it is easier than mouthing "Mama."
"And got the nerve to be Mama's twin. It's ok, sis, let him have that one she has your whole face," commented @notyouraveragechick96. "She was avoiding that eye contact at the end with all her might," wrote @_justcmb. "Ladies, small children cannot make the M sound their little baby mouths literally can't do it. The 'd' sound is just easier they most likely are trying to say mama but can't," commented @skeeterpalomino. "Bestie, if y'all have another one- Babies are naturally inclined to say 'da' before 'ma' due to the way their babbling habits form. Get her to say something with a d consonant and get that money back!" commented @thequeenpharah.

In yet another video from last November, the little girl's actions got the same disappointed reaction from her mom and it was too adorable and funny. This viral video where Jiselle simply ignored her mom but responded to her dad's call had the internet in stitches. The video has gained over 2 million views. While the mom repeatedly called her name, the baby girl was casually watching TV, paying no heed. But when her dad called her, she instantly turned to him and he said, "Your mom is calling you." To the mom's surprise, the little one nonchalantly went back to watching TV. The mother was in utter disbelief over the little girl's cute attitude and the caption read, "Mommy must be invisible."
