Justin Bieber had just a few sounds in his head but when shared with the orchestra, they transformed it into a phenomenal harmony.

It is wondrous how artists take ideas and mere thoughts from their minds and create them into concrete masterpieces. Conceptualizing tunes and music may be manageable but putting it out into the world and creating the music is where most of the magic lies. Composers are tasked with the skillful duty of bringing to reality what is just a sound or idea in their heads. Singer and songwriter, Justin Bieber beautifully did the same a few years ago, per Pop Culturescape. The musician had a tune in his mind but with his leadership and the brilliant talent of an orchestra, they brought life into the mere idea.

Bieber had an idea of a tune in his mind which was restricted to sounding like “Bam, bam, ba, ba, bam.” However, when his guidance and creativity met the skill and talent of the orchestra, they together created a full-fledged instrumental piece. Bieber had no idea how to explain to the orchestra and conduct them like professional conductors. Despite his lack of knowledge and terms, the orchestra stuck with him patiently and replaced his concept with musical notes to create a melodious reality. Starting with the basic tune, Bieber sang the same tune he imagined, trying his best to get a pitch and tempo.

He asked the violinists to play based on sounds he made with words. The violinist took a minute to understand what he was trying to relay and immediately went to work. They produced the most majestic base music which set the foundation for the masterpiece to be created. After repeating the tune a few times, the singer moved on to the next tune to add to the rendition. This time, he asked a few other violinists to play a slower tune, like seconds to the base music. This set of musicians too, listened and put their musical ears to work to switch his words and sounds for a symphony. Within no time, the base music echoed with the seconds to give a harmonizing melody.

There was more to add to the tune and Bieber perfectly aced his conducting, guiding each group with the tempo, pitch and frequency. Moving to the cello, he asked the musicians to play a third soft and slow melody on their cello in symphony with the other two melodies. As a slow harmony, the cello worked its way to adding a magical and soothing feel to the entire spectacle. Bieber guided them step by step, as best as he could. He followed up by asking the orchestra to play a staccato version of the entire tune. This elevated the performance and gave it an electrifying feel. The whole mashup was now a smooth and serene flow of music. Finally, Bieber followed up with a violin solo in between to add to the aura of the music.

The orchestra, now accustomed to the tune and loving the fun they had playing around with it, merged into the solo to raise the tension in the music before a blissful ending. With concentration, patience and simply what one can call musical magic, the orchestra and the singer created a soul-filling harmony. @DanielHopilitoHernando wrote, “Shout out to those musicians in the room who can easily identify the notes Justin is singing in real-time.” @QAModb said, “The fact that they easily followed and grasped what Justin was saying is pretty amazing.”
