Orangutan's adorable interaction with a baby is melting everyone's hearts: 'She's amazing'

Primates are considered closer to human beings than other species and are known to exhibit certain intellect and emotions. Among them, orangutans have displayed an ability to empathize with others and understand their emotions. This was seen in a video posted by  Shalena Hittle (@shalenahittle35) which shows her husband Dakota Hittle holding his 3-month-old son, Judah, near the glass enclosure of an orangutan exhibit.

Judah's older brother and Dakota's wife Shalena watch as Judah gets closer to the glass and the orangutan named Amber points and looks at him curiously. The Louisville Zoo stated that Amber frequently engages with visitors by tapping on the glass enclosure or making attention-getting gestures.

The video was also received positively on TikTok. "I had an orangutan ask me to turn my arm so it could see my tattoo better. It was the coolest experience realizing that it was communicating with me!" remarkeed @jessicaeleanorlee. "One time my son fell by the orangutan enclosure and the mama came over and sat beside us until he stopped crying and was okay. It was beautiful," said @Ashliolivera. "He was like show me that baby's toe beans!" exclaimed @kcupp15. Many users also mentioned how they felt bad about caged animals and pointed out the impact of deforestation that left orangutans dead or displaced, only to end up in zoos.

"I want to love this but my heart breaks for that poor caged orangutan," conveyed marcyj2021. "I had a gorilla tell me she loved me once, in sign language. I sat with her for a long time. I didn't want to leave. Beautiful video!" revealed @monaaahhhhh.

The video was also uploaded on Facebook and the comments section was flooded with heartwarming responses. "That’s Amber. She loves looking in bags and looking at fingernails. She’ll have you empty your bag so she knows what’s in it. If you have chipped nail polish she wants you to pick it off until it’s clean. A friend works there and tells all kinds of stories " said Tori Robbins. "Wow, that is the sweetest thing I've ever seen," added Angela Rogers.

In a similar wholesome moment, a teacher demonstrated how being in the right place at the right moment is the key to successful photography after he was able to click adorable pictures of a bunch of small bear pups. Valtteri Mulkahainen, a physical education teacher from Sotkamo, Finland, had the encounter while traveling through the Finnish taiga close to Martinselkonen when he came across a family of a bear and her three cubs. Mulkahainen secretly recorded the cubs playing and "dancing" in a circle while they were standing on their hind legs. They acted like children, he said, fighting and acting silly. Although bear sightings are regular in Finland, this particular sighting was exceptional. Mulkahainen, who spends his leisure time taking pictures of nature, posted these rare moments on his Instagram, which is filled with many cute pictures of bear cubs.
