The 31-year-old retired gymnast appeared in the video alongside her husband, retired NFL star Andrew East.
Shawn Johnson East is currently expecting her third child with husband, retired NFL star Andrew East. The American gymnast and Olympic gold medalist is 34 weeks pregnant and is proving that she is still incredibly talented. The retired athlete with a nearly to-term belly shared a video on her Instagram doing a handstand that was praised by many fans.
"I married a machine," East exclaims in the video, adding, "She's a freak of nature! Wow! What was that? You're an animal!" Johnson simply responds, "Center of gravity. Check." She then goes on to do a cartwheel, amazing her husband even more. "That was elite," he exclaims. He then goes on to try the same tricks his wife did after slipping a 25-pound pumpkin under his shirt, but it is far from easy.
People on the platform loved the duo's iconic video, which gained over 7 million views and nearly 230k likes. Many fans reacted to the now-viral clip with their shared amusements. @jsophie11 laughed, "I just picture the baby going weeeeeeee, lol." @jordankalie noted, "Okay, but honestly, the fact that Andrew is constantly blown away and praising your talent is really sweet!" @hlmluvshim wrote, "She pointed her freaking toes too. Once an Olympian, always an Olympian." @shawnjohnson herself joked in the comments, "Maybe someday he'll acknowledge or understand that I was a decent gymnast."

The sweet video was an endearing reminder that a woman is capable of anything, even while pregnant! And it is always nice to have a supportive partner by your side. It is not the first time East showed empathy towards his wife during her pregnancy in a fun way. Back in 2021, the two created a series of videos on pregnancy difficulties, titling it, "Making My Husband Feel What It's Like to be Pregnant."
They decided on a simulation plan to make East experience the physical sensations and difficulties of pregnancy. In one TikTok video, Johnson plastic wraps a 14-pound weight ball around East's midsection to simulate the baby along with its weight. East says, "I don't even know what I'm signing up for."
As East starts to feel the weight of the ball, he starts complaining. Johnson actually documents the number of times East complains in the video. She then lets East know that he's carrying only half the weight of a usual pregnancy and adds that the average weight gain is 30 pounds during pregnancy. "This is half of the actual weight?" he asks, "That's terrifying." She then asks him to pick up a toy off the floor with the 14-pound ball attached to his body. Johnson can't control her laughter as East struggles to pick up the ball. He does it on the second try. Johnson then shows him the easier way to do it.
The couple, both 31, are parents to son Jett James, 2, and daughter Drew Hazel, 4. Johnson opened up to PEOPLE on whether her kids would follow in her footsteps when it comes to gymnastics. Daughter Drew seems to be keen on the sport. Seeing the gym as a "giant padded playground for a kid," Johnson said Drew "likes it better than ballet or soccer so far, but I think it's because there are more activities she can do there at this stage." "I'm as far from wanting her to be a gymnast as humanly possible," she revealed. "I just want her to fall in love with something and I'll be her biggest cheerleader, no matter what it is."
