A man shared a screenshot of the family's conversation on X and people couldn't stop laughing after reading it.
The pandemic disrupted life and significantly altered everything from interactions between family and friends as well as celebrations where people are supposed to have loved ones around. However, a man still decided to invite family over for Thanksgiving dinner and his grandmother had the most hilarious reaction to it. Palmer Ward shared a screenshot of the family's conversation on X and people couldn't stop laughing after reading the woman's savage reply.
In the screenshot, it was seen that a man named Nathan messaged in a family group, "Offer still stands if you guys want to come over for Thanksgiving. Would love to see you all." To which, his mom responded, "We should wait until next year." Then Nathan replied, "But Mom, what about your famous cranberry sauce?" leading to an unexpected response from his mother who wrote, "Good idea, Nathan. You can serve it at my funeral." The post went viral with 392,000 likes and 40,000 re-shares.
The post was captioned, "Grandma out here taking names this year," and people on the platform loved the woman's reply. @aisling_bn commented, "I like this granny. A woman of her own mind." @awesumnessprime wrote, "If you need to know what you should be doing in a crisis, listen to grandma and anyone else that has lived through some genuine sh**." @runemablisk expressed, "That's the kind of grandma I wanna be when I grow up." @RegisHastur1 shared, "Grandma reminds me of my own, Gran. She survived the Second World War, typhoid, and my father and uncles. She wouldn't sacrifice herself for someone craving cranberry sauce and make sure to take the recipe to her grave in a case like this." @Lizzieland23 commented, "Not Nathan acting like he was missing Grandma when all he actually cared about was her cranberry sauce!"
Grandma would rather this not be the last Thanksgiving people get to see her.

In another story about family reunions, two little children Ethan and Owen decided to wear inflatable dinosaur suits to greet their grandmother at the Victoria International Airport. But they didn't know that their grandmother had also planned a surprise for them. The mom of the two kids filmed them trying to surprise their grandmother at the arrival gates of the airport. In the footage, Owen and Ethan wait at the gates in their dino costume only to see their grandma arrive dressed in an inflatable T-Rex costume to prank the kids back. The grandma had packed the costume in her carry-on bag and took help from the airport staff to put it on before meeting her family.
This was not the first time that the grandma pranked her grandchildren and had done something similar when they met her in Toronto. The mother wasn't expecting the video to go viral and said, "It has gone insane, I don’t know what happened or how. I had 15 friend requests a day, and people in China and Australia were messaging me. It’s too bad, but I had no idea that it would ever go viral. But it’s okay, I’m just glad people are enjoying it." She also said that she wasn't tech-savvy so she posted the video on Facebook and YouTube.
