New mom Kaley Cuoco's positive approach towards condition called 'Mommy Wrist' lauded

Kaley Cuoco is a new mom and she disclosed how she is facing some trouble. She has been suffering from a bout of tendonitis which is a result of lifting her 3-month-old daughter, Matilada. “They call it ‘mommy wrist,’” Cuoco wrote in the caption to her Instagram story, as per TODAY. In the picture that accompanies this post, she is seen wearing a compression bandage. In medical terms, mommy wrist or thumb is known as De Quervain tenosynovitis and as per the Mayo Clinic, it affects the tendons of the thumb portion of the wrist. One feels pain while turning the wrist and even holding anything.

Treatment for the condition includes the use of pain relievers as prescribed by the doctor or placing a cold pack. The thumb must not be moved and it should be kept straight with the help of a splint or brace to help rest the thumb. Different kinds of therapies can be used to treat the condition as well. She also shared her partner Tom Pelphrey's Instagram Story where they are seen curled up in their bed with the three-month-old baby. In the adorable picture, Cuoco is seen kissing her daughter on her cheek as she rests with her parents. Their dog Opal is also seen here as Pelphrey looks at the camera and winks. 

These pictures have been uploaded to Cuoco's Instagram after she celebrated her first Fourth of July with her daughter. She also posted a picture of this as she captioned it, "The sweetest 4th with our little sweetie!" In the picture, the baby wears a star and strips two-piece swimsuit as she sits with her mother and her father is seen smiling as he sat next to him. "Tildy looking and feeling very patriotic," Cuoco wrote. 

The couple welcomed Matilda on March 30. Two days later, the mom shared this news with everyone on her Instagram handle. “Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives!” she wrote on Instagram a few days after Matilda was born. “We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle.”

The pair had met in April 2022 during the premiere of "Ozark." “I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting,” Cuoco told USA Today. “It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I wasn’t ready for him. We’re ready to build a life together.” They made their first public appearance as a couple in May 2022 during the producer  Greg Berlanti’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. We have all seen glimpses of Cuoco's beautiful journey as a mother of the three-month hold and how the family of three have grown together. Now, we hope for Cuoco's speedy recovery from tendonitis so that she can hold her little one again without pain.
