The responsibilities of a new parent seem like a never-ending cycle. The relentless day and night shifts of feeding, burping, changing diapers and putting the little ones to sleep takes a heavy toll, especially on new mothers' physical and mental health. Whether the mom may choose to breastfeed, pump, formula feed or a mix of all these, the newborn stage is quite the challenge. But this dad, Ryan Ploof–who goes by @dadnamedryan–makes life a bit more fun and easier for his wife, Danielle Ploof, who recently gave birth to their son. Ryan, who refers to himself as "just another dad," recently shared a heartwarming video on TikTok that documents how he shares the baby responsibilities with his wife and the internet loves it.

The viral video, with over a million views, shows Ryan's sweet little gestures toward his wife, who exclusively pumps day and night to feed the baby. Mentioning that he's "a new dad trying to make pumping fun for mom," Ryan captioned the video, "I mean, it (pumping) can't be fun." Setting down an empty freezer tray on the kitchen counter, Ryan dramatically says, "That means we're completely out of milk" and states that his goal for the day as a husband is "to make pumping fun for my wife because she's got to do a lot of it." At 7 AM, he thawed and readied the last batch of available milk and shared an adorable dad-son moment as he woke and fed the little one.

Nearly an hour later, the new dad can be seen labeling and storing the pumped breastmilk for later. He takes utmost care to make sure that his wife's efforts aren't overlooked. In a clip from later that morning, Ryan brings a surprise for his wife, along with a breast pump and it instantly cheers up the new mom. "Pop your present," says the husband and the wife excitedly opens her gift, which appears to be a makeup palette. The man knew exactly how to lighten up her tiresome day. Ryan then tried to make banana muffins for his exhausted wife, but it didn't go well. So instead, he made her a nice hot cocoa and cheered her by saying, "It's that time to pump. Cold brew hot cocoa and the pumpage."

How Ryan pampers his wife struck a chord with hundreds of moms on the platform. "You don't see a lot of dads going this hard for their family. Props to you! Your family is beautiful!" commented @kaylaxxmarie. "You might've done it, but if you freeze the bags lying down, it allows you to store more frozen milk together! Love a supportive husband," wrote @meganlee22 while sharing a parent hack.

In another heartwarming video of Ryan pampering his wife, the husband emphasized, "Never a doubt. She comes first in my life." Ryan can be seen buying new home decor and setting up a cozy space for his wife to rest and spend time with the baby. Seeing her husband's comforting setup, the excited Danielle says, "This is so special." It's just a small gesture, but speaks volumes when it is done at a much-needed time. "You did such a good job and seeing your wife's face after a job well done was so cute," commented @gamerghouls18. "Buying a surprise rug is a gamble," wrote @ethandavis463.
