A couple's proposal video has gone viral, thanks to the boyfriend's unexpected reaction to his girlfriend saying 'yes'. Well, we're talking about Braydon Dewey and his fiancée, Destiny Fajen (@destiny124312). It so happened that Dewey had planned the perfect proposal at Halfmoon Town Park in Halfmoon, New York. In fact, he had even invited his girlfriend's family to witness the special moment, PEOPLE reported. However, Dewey's plan failed miserably as his organs couldn't handle the pressure, and sent bile up his throat — right before the lovely crowd.

Everything was fine until Dewey knelt in front of his girlfriend, asking if she would marry him, but things took a drastic turn when Fajen said "yes," and her boyfriend put a ring on her finger. Soon enough, his eyes widened with panic as he quickly ran towards the nearby bush to throw up. At first, Fajen couldn't understand what had just happened, but once she realized, she rushed over to comfort her fiancé by hugging him and rubbing his back. "He actually whispered 'I'm sorry' right as he stood up to go throw up. I took a second to realize what was happening, then went to make sure he was okay," Fajen explained. Everyone, including her parents and grandparents, pretended as if the mishap hadn't happened, only to make Dewey feel less embarrassed about the situation. He, however, was least bothered by it and didn't let the awkward situation ruin the day. "To be honest, I was just relieved that it all went perfectly and she said 'yes,'" Dewey confessed. The couple who will tie the knot in Arizona on February 23 actually met in 2022, when Fajen was working at a restaurant. Dewey had gone there as a customer, and the rest is history.

Dewey isn't alone in being nervous about proposing to his partner. In fact, research from engagement ring expert 77 Diamonds reported by the Daily Report found that 30% of people suffer from engagement anxiety over fears of saying the wrong thing (38%) or being rejected (22%). Moreover, just like Dewey, many experience racing heartbeat, trouble sleeping, and even stomach upsets before the big moment. Proposal anxiety is so common that, surprisingly, it ranks second on a list of 5 anxiety-inducing life moments: your first ever interview (35%), romantic proposal (25%), pregnancy and childbirth (15%), taking a driver's test (14%), and buying your first ever house (12%).

Meanwhile, reacting to the TikTok video, @notktsmith commented, "My husband was so nervous that he forgot to actually say the words. He just got down on one knee and stared at me with a huge smile, haha." Similarly, @amira_alarick_alexandra shared, "Aww, mine was so nervous that he asked me to be his husband instead of his wife. Poor dude was shaking." @significant_moments said, "My now husband did this when we were 16, not while proposing. He just hadn’t seen me in weeks. We will be celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary this year. That man loves you, girl." @memzkhalifa wrote, "Mine was so nervous he forgot the words he prepared and just held the ring up and said, 'I love you, and I wanna make you happy, I can’t remember the rest right now, but I mean it,' easiest yes I’ve ever said."
