Traveling by flight with kids is quite a challenge for parents. Especially when it's a newborn's first time on a plane, parents have to tackle the little one's crying spree which often makes them guilty of causing disturbance to other passengers. After all, one cannot expect every passenger to be so understanding. So, one couple came up with a hilarious yet thoughtful idea to apologize to fellow passengers about their baby's first flight. In May 2018, Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan (@NiallOfficial) shared this story on X and it touched thousands of hearts online.

As per the singer's post, the 18-days-old baby named Marit's dads had offered the "coolest little" goodie bag that contained an adorable note. The note was written as if the baby was talking to the passengers about her first time traveling by flight and it would make any heart melt. "Hi, stranger," the dads wrote on behalf of their baby. "I'm flying home to Europe with my dads. This is my first flight ever. I will do my utmost to be on my best behavior to ensure that you have a peaceful flight," the note further read.

Also, the dads offered an advance apology in case any passenger felt inconvenienced because of Marit's fussiness. "I would like to apologize in advance if - I for any reason lose my cool, my temper, my ears hurt, or my tummy gets fussy," said the adorable note. Marit then pointed out that their dads were more nervous than them and that was why, they had to make a goodie bag for every passenger. The note ended by wishing the passengers a "great flight." Impressed by this cute note, the "This Town" singer couldn't help but share it with the world. "Marit was quiet as a mouse for 10 hours," Horan mentioned in his post and added, "Good luck to both dads."

Even after six years, Marit's note is making its rounds on the internet. "There are people like this out there in the world and for that, I’m crying! That was so cute," commented @sunflwrnialler. "That’s the most generous thing the new dads could do in such a small tight area," commented @NatalieKind. "This is the absolutely sweetest thing ever! I don’t know who’s luckier those two dads or that precious little baby!" wrote @dsneydiva.

Among the thousands of comments calling this note "cute," and "sweet," many were intrigued by what else was in the goodie bag the dads gave the passengers. The next day, the Norwegian/Danish dads - who go by @andreashusby1 on X, commented on Horan's post, revealing the goodie bag secret. Apparently, the dads had offered the passengers a zip-lock bag full of candies, mouth fresheners, antibacterial hand wipes and most importantly, a pair of earplugs along with Marit's cute little note. The dads mentioned in the thread, "Figured earplugs were number one on the list and the candy to soothe the pain should the earplugs prove ineffective." People lauded the dads for being considerate of their fellow passengers.
