Police said, 'Receiving a lot of packages is not a crime'
Some neighbors go out of their way to make even the simplest of things difficult. Jayson, the host of Whateva This Is! (@whateva_this_iz) podcast took to Instagram on October 19, 2026, to share how he got petty revenge on his "racist" German neighbor. The neighbor had reported Jayson to the police for "computer fraud" and for receiving "too many packages." On one rainy day, Jayson let karma work its magic and sat next to the window with a coffee in hand, watching his neighbor with his packages. The video has had over 370,000 views, 33,300 likes, and 959 comments.
Jayson's neighbor had reported him to the police in February, and they responded around April or May with a letter. The police confirmed there was no crime, and said, "receiving a lot of packages is not a crime." A few weeks later, Dynamic Parcel Distribution (DPD) showed up to deliver the neighbor's packages. Jayson opened the door, but refused to accept his neighbor's stuff. When the delivery guy insisted it was just a few packages, Jayson gave in.
It was a rainy day, and Jayson peered from the window to see how many packages there were. "This guy offloaded maybe 15 or 20 boxes," he said, "I wouldn't let this man bring all these boxes into my flat for me to give to an ungrateful man who reported me to the police." Jayson called out to the delivery guy to tell him he cannot accept all the boxes.

The delivery guy left the packages at the door, and then Jayson saw his neighbor running towards his packages. "He looked visibly pissed because whatever he ordered was basically on the floor, in front of the building, and it was raining." He picked them up, rang Jayson's bell, and immediately accused him of taking his packages. Jayson explained that he simply opened the door for the delivery guy. Then he said Jayson could have at least taken his packages in because they were getting wet.
Without missing a beat, Jayson responded, "So that you could report me to the police?" The neighbor tried to cover his tracks, but Jayson knew the truth already. Unable to read the room, the neighbor proceeded to ask Jayson to help him carry his packages up two flights of stairs, but the latter refused. He closed the door on the neighbor's face and watched him from the window with a cup of coffee as he picked up his boxes one by one in the rain.

Some people are unlucky when it comes to neighbors. A 2019 FindLaw survey found that 42% of American adults have had a dispute with a neighbor. Of these, 49% discussed the issue with their neighbor to try and solve it, while 27% called the police. 15% complained to their HOA or other neighborhood group. The study found that the latter is not always efficient because, in some cases, there are no crimes involved, similar to Jayson's situation.

Viewers warned Jayson from interacting or touching any of his neighbor's packages. @hilary.williams.94 wrote, "This was a setup; he will end up saying some package is missing. Then the police must come again. Thank God, you didn't take it." @bunmi04 added, "People really hate it when you match their energy."
