In the age of the internet, we often come across recreations of musical masterpieces that add a unique twist to the original number. Sometimes these song adaptations are both harmonic and rhythmic, making the composition a delightful treat for the ears. Yet, on other occasions, if the attempt is cringeworthy, they fail to impress the audience. A musician, through his remarkable showmanship, is winning hearts online for coming up with his version of The Weeknd’s famous “Starboy.” The young saxophonist from Pittsburgh, who has a huge presence on YouTube under his channel’s name @FoolishFrankie, was asked by a random group of friends to perform on the now-defunct online platform, Omegle.

In a widely shared video, Frankie was seen interacting with three young women. When one of them asked the musician to do a version of any mainstream song, he happily obliged their request. “Which song do you want to hear?” the artist with a significant social media following asked the strangers. The women, on the other side of the screen, unanimously agreed on “Starboy.” “I think I’ve heard this song before, but it’s been a while,” Frankie told the strangers before finally listening to the song once. The YouTube creator tuned in to one of the most famous songs on the video-sharing platform, with almost 2.516 billion views.

While the group of friends interacted among themselves, Frankie brought his electric guitar into the frame to start with. Furthermore, it took no time for the impromptu Omegle encounter to turn into a jaw-dropping musical moment for the strangers. As he started playing the number with his guitar, an interesting beat accompanied in the background. The performance literally amazed the women on the other side of the screen, the video showed. At this point, Frankie surprised them with his usual saxophone avatar. “That’s the background and everything else. We thought he was just going to play it on saxophone,” one of the women from the group said.

Meanwhile, the musician, hailing from Pennsylvania, made a hilarious disclosure through a text overlay that he was struggling to find the right button to hit the correct beat. Despite the mishap, what followed was nothing less than magical. “Oh my God!” exclaimed another woman as Frankie perfectly captured the tune of the song on his saxophone. The 59-second heartwarming exchange concluded with strangers joyfully grooving to the smooth saxophone rendition of "Starboy." Additionally, the chilling moment, which caused goosebumps to run down arms, garnered 53 million views since it was first posted in September last year.

In the comments section, people claimed that they were left speechless after watching the mesmerizing performance. “I loved this whole interaction and how genuinely interested they were and not faking anything,” remarked @eswynplantagenet4483. “They asked for the saxophone and got a whole band,” noted @LunaTheWriter. “He's getting the vibe of the song without playing the same notes,” @joeljude9180 emphasized. “I’m so glad these girls were patient enough for the final result and didn’t just skip to the next person,” @jordyb57 jokingly wrote. Overall, Frankie’s playing “Starboy” on a saxophone turned out to be a massive hit, receiving 3.2 million likes.
