Dunkin', the famous American restaurant chain, has taken over the Internet with its new multi-starrer primetime commercial. The "'Good Will Dunkin' Super Bowl" ad released on February 8 features Ben Affleck in a fake sitcom that reimagines his movie "Good Will Hunting" as a lighthearted comedy instead of a serious drama. Besides him, the new commercial is packed with surprise cameos by celebrities, including Tom Brady, Jason Alexander, Jennifer Aniston, Ted Danson, and Matt LeBlanc. Apart from the original references from Affleck's movie, the 'fake sitcom' time and again makes wholesome references to shows like "Friends," "Cheers," and "A Different World," among a few others.

The one-minute-long commercial shows Affleck reprising the role of Matt Damon in the movie "Good Will Hunting." However, his character was totally different from what was seen in the film. In fact, instead of being a troubled math genius at MIT, this Will worked at Dunkin's. Will is smart and quirky and loves painting the shop's windows with complicated math equations while also taking coffee orders. Interestingly, to make things look more realistic, actors were made to look younger using special effects. In fact, the commercial was filmed on real film, so it looks like a '90s plot. The ad becomes even more nostalgic when the camera shifts to the shop owner, who praises Will for arranging the "munchkins" in the Fibonacci sequence. LeBlanc, who features in the ad as a customer at Dunkin', notices this and says sarcastically while sipping on his coffee, "He is such a genius, so why did he put ice in this coffee?" To this, Jasmine Guy, who plays another customer at the cafe, says she would marry the guy who helped her with the Fibonacci sequence. Everyone looks shocked, and the men immediately run to woo her. "How you doin'?" Affleck, playing Will, says, reminding viewers of the most iconic Joey Tribbiani dialogue from "Friends."

"Don't you have a girlfriend?" Alfonso Ribeiro reminds him, and Will immediately tries to justify, "We are on a break," again serving us a 'Ross-Rachael' moment. But then, a look outside the window reveals Aniston standing with her new boyfriend Brady. "You like donuts? Well, this is my new boyfriend... How do you like these nuts?" she asked, leaving everyone shocked. But why would the restaurant chain go back to the '90s for a commercial in 2026? Well, it's because it wanted to celebrate its first ad for iced coffee, which was aired in 1995. In fact, Dunkin' announced it will give away 1.995 million free iced coffees of any size starting Monday, February 9. Notably, customers can redeem the offer using code GOODWILLDUNKIN in the Dunkin' app, as per its official website.

All actors seemed to enjoy their little time on set together, and their chemistry was very much evident onscreen. "It was a very good time; it’s really fun to work with people who know what they’re doing. Seven principal actors, and everyone knew what their job was. Everybody came in with the attitude of, 'Let’s have fun. If this isn’t a fun day, we’re doing something wrong,'" Alexander told USA Today.
