Parents want their children to have the best of everything. However, when it comes to clothes, the decision becomes a bit complicated. During their initial years, kids are growing at a staggering rate. If parents have to buy clothes every time their kids grow out of it, it could lead to a great financial expense. This money can be better invested in other places. However, at the same time, no parent wants their children to wear ill-fitted clothes that will embarrass them. Hence, a mother—who goes on the TikTok by @mwrn188—shared a hack that will be music to the ears of many parents. The hack showcases how the longevity of clothes by Cat & Jack can be increased by a simple trick.

The woman is a toddler mom who is going through the "grind" that children put their parents through regularly. One of the problems she faces is her children not fitting into the clothes she buys after a short period. Having enough of this, she began trying to find ways to make one piece of clothing work for different sizes. She had her prayers answered when she got to know about this secret hack associated with Cat and Jack clothing. This hack ensures that the item lasts children at least 2 years.

The video begins with the mother showing her daughter's coat. She says, "My 3T daughter was a 2T last year. Just a little bit too small, nothing horrible." Later, she begins to prep in order to try out the hack. At first, she shows the coat and what it looks like, especially its sleeves. Then, she focuses on the string that is present in the sleeve. In the voiceover, she explains how the string can be used to make the clothing last longer, "There's a string in here you can cut that will extend [the sleeve]. So we're going to give it a try and see if we can get another year out of this coat, which was fantastic."

On the inside of the coat, a red string was holding back a piece of fabric. After cutting the string, a thread needed to be pulled out to extend another cuff of sleep. It effectively enlarged the size of the sleeve and gave children more time in that piece of clothing. Seeing that the hack worked, the woman was overjoyed and said, "Thank you, Cat and Jack and Target. I don't know if all of them have it, but that's very helpful to know." It helped her in solving a major problem and save some money.

The comment section was in agreement with the mother about the issue and was also in awe of the hack. @emsewcrafty gave details about more brands who have this facility, "Gerry snow pants from Costco too!!! The ones with the suspender straps! lasted us two years." @momma2100 was grateful for the advice, "Thank you for that, because these jackets cost so much for me to have to keep buying new ones."
