Mom's wholesome letter to daughter about life is touching hearts on the internet: 'This is so sweet'

The relationship between a mother and a child is unfathomably special. No matter how grown up their child is, moms can understand and resonate with their feelings just by hearing their voice. Also, there is no one better to uplift a child's mood than their mother. Recently, actress and comedian Mitsy Sanderson–who goes by @ineedabadbleepmitsy on TikTok–shared a heartwarming video where she read her mother's wholesome letter to her. Sanderson's mom knew that her daughter needed some boost in life, so she penned down some inspiring words for her.

In the video, the actress opened an envelope she received from her mom. She mentioned that she had been feeling a bit down lately and receiving a letter from her mom seemed exciting. "This is so cute," said Sanderson, showing the little card that her mom had sent. It had a picture of a pink lava lamp with the words "I Lava You A Lot" written on it. Sanderson noted that her mom loved puns and thus picked this cute and funny card. Inside was the mom's wholesome letter that read, "Dear Missana, just a note to say, hang in there and that I love you so much. Life is a roller coaster. There's going to be ups and downs and scary parts. But stay strapped in and try to enjoy the ride because someday you will look back and realize what an adventure it's been."

Following those words of encouragement, the mom expressed her love for her daughter. "Always know, no matter how much I annoy you or how many disagreements we have, I will always be supportive of you and have your back. You're amazing and I'm proud of you," the mom wrote. She signed it, "XO Mommington," and Sanderson couldn't help but get teary-eyed. "This is so sweet. Written notes like that just hit differently," said Sanderson. Addressing the viewers, she then said that she wanted to relay the same message from her mom to people going through something difficult in life. "Just keep going," she said in the end and thanked her mom for this motivation.

The video has garnered over 38k views in a couple of weeks. People on the platform were touched by her mom's gesture. "My mom's handwritten notes to me almost always make me cry. I keep all of them," said @eve...yup, to which Sanderson replied, "Same, she always writes me notes on my napkins for lunch and I kept them all growing up." @sagerosechamomile pointed out, "Really good mamas always know when you need that extra care, sounds like you have a really great mama." @ryannhaerofficial added, "She's right, life truly is a rollercoaster and to get back to the top, you have to get to the bottom first."

On a similar note, a son discovered a heartwarming letter left to him by his mother after she passed away following a battle with cancer. u/MattGald shared on Reddit a snapshot of his deceased mom's letter to him and the internet was brought to tears. "I hope you knew how much I loved you. You have the kindest soul of anyone I knew," the mom wrote. "I hope that you have found the person of your dreams and that you are happy and content in your life because you deserve it," she added. The mom reminisced some of the best times with her son and expressed her love saying: "You were the best son ever! Until we meet again. I love you eternally." Letters like these teach the value of expressing love to our dear ones.
