Baking can be tricky for many people and that's okay. However, you are kind of expected to have a fairly good grasp of it if you run a bakery. Making fancy cakes requires some practice, talent and dedication to get right. However, not all bakeries deliver excellent results. This was the case for a woman—who goes by @babygirls0s0 on TikTok—who requested HEB to make a 'Minion' themed birthday cake, only to be delivered one of the hilariously worst cakes ever.

The clip has gone viral, gaining 3.1 million likes and 51.6K comments. The woman begins by sharing that she had just picked up her son's Minion cake from HEB and that it was the ugliest thing she had ever seen. She says, "This is so not what I asked for and his party is tomorrow." The mother is not overly upset and states how it was "fixable," so she just got whatever they had made. She reiterated how it was very ugly and proceeded to show viewers what she asked the baker to make, along with the exact instructions she gave.

She then showcases a screenshot of a very adorable 'Minion' cake that looks quite delicious. The baker asked her if she wanted a gradient "ombre" pattern. The woman replied, "No. Straight blue, straight yellow, okay? Big swirls, I want it to be swirls." She proceeded to clarify that she did not want any fancy decorative icing as her child would mess it up anyway. The video cuts to reveal the final product the woman got, which is a far cry from the original idea she showed the baker.

Looking at the cake, she inquires, "Where are my swirls? Why is it ombre? Why is it green? What happened to the goggle circles?" She is still in disbelief at seeing what the cake looks like and concludes the video with a smile. People were just as surprised with the way the cake looked and expressed their thoughts in the comments section. @sarahbg2.0 said, "When you said 'it's totally fixable,' I was not expecting THAT." @kellz9978 expressed, "At first, I was like, 'She's probably just exaggerating.' No girl, they did you dirty!!"

Slip-ups at bakeries can lead to quite funny instances. Brianna Romero—who goes by @brinnicakes on TikTok—has a hilarious story about a cake that went wrong sometime back. She makes a cake in the video and tells her viewers about the time she received an order for an "Emo" cake for a four-year-old. The baker described how a woman reached out to her requesting a cake at the last minute. She asked a few basic details and finished up the cake, after which she messaged the customer to ask if they wanted a number candle to go with it.

It was at this moment that she found out that they had actually wanted an "Elmo" cake and she misread the message. She says, "My heart sinks a little bit because this is now making sense to me." She did not have time to change the cake, so she went to another bakery to ask them to put Elmo on top of the cake. They refused, so she did a bit of a workaround where she gave the cake to the customer for free with a cutout of Elmo on the top.
