'If this doesn’t make my daughter say 'Mama' first, I don't know anymore,' said the mom of two, prompting amusing responses.

Every little milestone of their child is a moment of wonder for the parents. That includes the first time their little one speaks. Though babies tend to babble out simple words that they find easier to say, parents always look forward to what their little one's first words would be. But this mom on TikTok is not ready to let her baby say anything other than "Mama," as her first words. Joyce Pring (@adultingwithjoycepring), a TV host and a popular content creator shared a video on how she made sure that her daughter's first words were "Mama" and it's an absolute laugh riot.

Pring is on a hilarious journey to teach her 9-month-old her first words ensuring that it wouldn't be "Dada." The mom of two captioned her video, "Out here giving out priceless parenting advice! If this doesn’t make my daughter say 'Mama' first, I don't know anymore." In the video, Pring was holding a picture of her and her husband right in front of the baby. Pointing to herself in the photo, Pring emphasized the words, "Mama," repeatedly. She ensured to repeat it multiple times so that her little one could mimic the mom's mouthing. Then came the crazy part. Pointing to her husband in the picture, Pring simply said, "Father."

The smart mom knew that it was never going to be easy for the baby to say the word "Father." She probably knew that most babies say, "Dada" first and didn't want to take a chance. Hence the clever trick. She also referred to her husband as, "Mama's husband' which the baby is obviously not going to even try saying. Holding a different picture, Pring once again emphasized the word, "Mama," while pointing to herself in it. And this time, she pointed to her husband and said, "Padre Salvi," throwing a much more difficult thing to say for her daughter. Pring's light-hearted humor had the internet in stitches and the video gained over 11 million views.

"Imagine if she said Padre Salvi before she could say mama," joked @marsmut92. "My friend taught her kids to say Daddy first so that they could call him at night," commented @user2127162163338. "I did the opposite. Trained mine when my wife went to work. Both said 'Papa' first," wrote @somethingrandom.numbers. "Phonetically, she will say baba first, not because she is calling him, it’s because they pronounce the sound /b/ before the sound /m/," commented @maram_mjj.

On a similar note, a video of parents placing a bet on what their daughter's first words would be made its rounds on the internet. Influencer couple Jolie and the Beast (@jolieandbeast) shared an adorable moment of their daughter blurting out her first words and it was, "Dada." Unlike Pring, this mom probably didn't try training her little one to say "Mama," so the child said what every baby finds easier to say, "Dada." The proud dad couldn't hold his excitement in this video while the mom, who lost $500 in the bet, gave her little one a hilarious stare-down. People in the comments cheered up the mom saying that though her baby said "Dada" first she had inherited her mom's features and that was a win.
