The neighbor tried to reason out saying that the teen seemed distracting but the mom was quick to put the 'entitled' woman in her place.

Many of us have encountered a frustrating situation with entitled people at some point. Escaping the hassle of entitled people in public places, workplaces, or neighborhoods can be challenging. So, sometimes people have to come up with ways to stand up for themselves in such situations. Despite having a spiteful woman next door, this mom handled the menace quite effectively. A 16-year-old teen girl, u/Dear_Fault_67, shared a post about how her mom wittily defended her to the next-door neighbor and the internet is amused by it.

Earlier this month, the girl had a fever and had to take a day off from school. After resting in her bedroom for a while, the teen moved to the living room couch, where the ventilation was pretty good, making it a warm place to rest. While some of the large windows in her living room pointed to the street, some pointed to the neighbor's house to their left. "So I went to the couch and I still felt hot. So I took off my shirt and at that point, I was only wearing short shorts and my bra," the girl mentioned. Barely a few minutes later, there was a knock on their door and it was none other than the next-door neighbor, who had arrived to complain about the teen's outfit.

When the mom greeted the neighbor at the door, the entitled woman came to ask her daughter to "cover up." While the mom was in disbelief over what she heard, the woman explained, "Yes, it's kind of weird what she's doing exposing herself like that." It did not sit well with the mom and she instantly retaliated sarcastically, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you could tell me what to do with my kids in my house." However, the woman tried to explain that she felt the need to say this because her husband's office had a good visual of the teen's windows and that it was "hard for him to concentrate on work when there's a naked teen on the other side of his window."

The mom was infuriated at that point and gave the woman an earful, saying, "Ok, three things, first my daughter's not naked, and even if she was, it wouldn't matter because she lives here and she can wear whatever she wants. Second, what is your husband, a 45-year-old man, doing looking at my 16-year-old daughter in her underwear? And third, get off my property because we're done here." The mom slammed the door in the entitled woman's face and later confronted the neighbor's husband, asking him to stop looking through her windows. The confused man pointed out that he wasn't working from home that day and upon realizing what his wife did, he apologized to her. Eventually, the mom bought curtains for the living room windows to keep out the woman.

While many in the comments were appalled by the entitled woman's behavior, they also lauded the mom for standing up for her daughter. "Wow! So you had a Peeping woman instead of a Peeping Tom. So happy to hear your Mom ripping her apart! Hope you're feeling better," commented u/ProfessionSanity. "Give the curtains to the neighbors. They can be the ones to cover their windows if they have such a big problem with what they see when they look out. Kudos to Mom for putting Nosy Nellie in her place," wrote u/Simple-Big-3471. "Your mom is a queen. And creepy woman needs a new hobby that doesn't include harassing the neighbors," commented u/FriedaClaxton22.
