Emergencies can arise at any time, and the first thing that most people do in such situations is to remember their loved ones and think about their safety. Once their protection is ensured, those at risk send an SOS alert for help. Sometimes, however, people get too overwhelmed to handle challenging situations, resulting in psychological problems and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If we’re fortunate enough to find that one person who can hold our hand and provide emotional support, situations can unfold differently. A girl recently underwent a similar experience after being exposed to traumatic circumstances. Kylee Bobbitt, who goes by @kkyleebobbitt on TikTok, was lucky to have her mom by her side during what turned out to be a frightening turn of events.

In an emotional video, Bobbitt was seen hiding with her mother in a public bathroom. The teenager attending a school event panicked when she heard people running and screaming outside. To be safer, the mother-daughter duo took refuge in a toilet. Bobbitt was among hundreds of participants attending the NCA All-Star National Championship in downtown Dallas. Chaotic scenes unfolded at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, leading to the suspension of the cheerleading competition, per NBC News.

According to USA Today, "Parents, children, and spectators at a cheerleading competition in Dallas fled in a chaotic scene over the weekend as fears of a gunman set off a panic...But there was no shooter." Instead, the police in Dallas claimed a fight that broke out between two people, which set off a "false alarm."

Like many other children and their parents, Bobbitt and her mom tried to escape the chaotic situation. At least 10 people were injured in the evacuation of the convention center, per Fox 4 News. Bobbitt’s video depicting the horror they went through during the event that was canceled on March 02, 2025, confirmed that loud noises were playing in the background. “Oh! My God, I don’t want to die. I’m so scared,” Bobbitt was heard telling her mother.

While Bobbitt was scared, thinking a shooting had possibly taken place at the center, her mom, on the other hand, remained calm. As seen in a 14-second clip, the mother was trying to assure her that she would be safe. “Listen to me. Look at me. We are not going to die,” the mother reiterated, seeing her daughter crying. The heartbreaking moment showed the mother’s resilience and ability to infuse courage in her frightened daughter. “My mom trying to calm me down after hearing screaming and running from outside the bathroom we are hiding,” read the overlaid text.

Meanwhile, in the description, Bobbitt emphasized that she was traumatized by what happened around her. “I was so traumatized and was literally scared for my life as many others were today. I hope everyone who was at NCA was okay and reunited with their families. Thank you to anyone who helped someone out if they were hurt or alone,” remarked Bobbitt. With over 41.6 million views, her video received many reactions.

@suitepeeps said, “The collective screaming is so haunting. It might not have been a shooting, but this is the sound of gun violence in America. This is the reality.” @lawchick99 added, “Go, Mom! That voice! She was convinced they were not going to die. She was going to make sure of it.”
