One of the unpleasant parts of being in school for a kid is remembering all the assignments they have to do and managing to submit them on time. Sometimes, they end up forgetting and only realize it on the eve of the submission date. Waiting until the last minute to do school assignments is something we all might have done at some point in our lives. What makes the situation even more stressful is letting our parents know that we have a submission and might need their help to finish it. Gabby Honey (@gabbsgarden), a single mom to a boy, shared a hilariously relatable video of her son asking her to help him with his project at the last minute.

The video has amassed 2.5 million views and 5,162 comments on TikTok. At the beginning of the video, we see a text overlay that says, "My son at 9:30 PM telling me has a diorama due tomorrow on Komodo Dragons!!" The boy is clearly worried that he will not be able to submit his project before the deadline, but somehow manages to keep a straight face while telling his mother that he has forgotten all about it. He goes up to her under the guise of asking her to remind him about the project and hilariously speaks in a hushed tone.

He explains, "I got this paper yesterday from my teacher and my friends were telling me I had to make a little something of my creature that I was researching today." The boy further states that he had told his mother about the creature he wanted to study, which was a Komodo dragon. Apparently, the paper his teacher gave him was still in the backpack in their car. He finally tells the truth about having to submit it the next day.

Honey realizes what her son has gotten himself into and asks if he wants her to help him do it that night. He funnily replies that he thinks it's "required." She confronts him and the boy innocently admits to his mistake of forgetting, apologizing to his mother immediately. Thankfully, Honey decides not to give him a hard time about it and offers to help him out. The boy offers to let her take a little rest before she looks at it and the video comes to an end.
