She had a ton of grocery shopping to do and browsing those aisles was tiring. She decided to open a few things to snack on.
Grocery shopping is either the most fun or the most exhausting chores one does depending on how one carries it out. When one passes by all the delicious items in the aisles, the impulse is to simply grab a pack and munch while browsing with the trolley. While this idea is fantasized by many, Cecily Bauchmann—who goes by @cecilybauchmann on TikTok—turned it into a reality. In her video on TikTok, she revealed how she happily went about her grocery list by munching on items that she was purchasing. Her actions are surely questionable and users have different interesting opinions to share. She mentioned at the beginning of her video that she had a long shopping list and was enthusiastic about it.
She began going about her grocery shopping as she picked veggies, fruits, nuts and different kinds of items. One can imagine how hectic it gets to browse through and visit so many aisles to add the many needed items to the trolley. It is quite a walk and is undoubtedly exhausting. With the many things Bauchmann had to purchase, she grew hungry. In the middle her shopping spree, she said, “I’m starving,” as she reached out to the packaged snack rolls in her trolley and very frankly popped one in her mouth. As she continued shopping and adding innumerable items to her cart, she shared glimpses of herself munching something now and then.
Towards the end of her video, as Bauchmann was checking her items with the cashier, she revealed to the person that she had eaten out of the snack box. “I also opened this in the store, I was so hungry,” she said. With over 700 comments, there was quite a discussion to unfold. Several users related to her being hungry while shopping while others were on board with the idea of munching while shopping for groceries. @rachel.curle said, “The opening of the sushi at the store is so real.” @user1367216798162 said, “Eating food when you’re hungry at the grocery store is a necessity sometimes.” With all the hype, the mom shared another video with the concluding portion of the previous video where she checked in the empty sushi carton. Her caption read, “Opening food is a normal thing at the grocery store.” With over 4k comments on this post, Bachmann went viral for her energy.
@ayonajmua said, “It’s a mom thing. My momma is doing this all the time!” With different perspectives coming in, the comments section was lively and thriving. The mom highlighted in her video that she did pay for the item during checkout. @luvilyines said, “My mom does this all the time and cashiers don’t have any problem because you’re paying for it anyway.” @ms_asay said, “My husband and I keep doing this. Need a little snack while we shop.” Cashiers too shared their hilarious experiences of having shoppers eat before checking out. @iminlovewithkarisma amusingly said, “I’ve had people put it on my conveyor belt with no explanation. Next thing I know, I’m picking up empty containers.” @hailey_baby2415 hysterically said, “Eating at the store is more fun.” To this, Bauchmann replied, “It’s all about the experience.”
