The photo showed them as toddlers sitting at the table together, back when their families lived near each other in North Carolina.
As adults, we often outgrow the objects from our childhood. But parents tend to hold on to these things, quietly waiting for the moment they might matter again. It’s as if they know they’ll come in handy someday. In such a case, one mom held onto a plastic kids' table and an old photo for more than 20 years—long enough for it to show up again at her daughter’s engagement party, reported People. The daughter, Logan Schultz, later posted it on TikTok on her page @loganeschultz, alongside the original photo. The video was captioned, "From then to now!!! Who would’ve thought? Can’t believe my mama kept this for all of these years. We go WAY back."
The idea came after Schultz got engaged to Wil Warner in April 2024. Schultz’s mom, who had saved the table and photo from the early 2000s, brought it up while talking with Warner’s family. The photo showed Logan and Wil as toddlers sitting at the table together, back when their families lived near each other in North Carolina. They weren’t in touch growing up, but their paths crossed again years later. Schultz, now 24, and Warner, 25, reconnected during college. She was attending the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and he was enrolled at The Citadel.
One summer, they ended up at the same beach gathering. A few days on the water turned into something more, and they’ve been together since. "We just match each other perfectly and truly feel like each other’s best friend. As more time has passed and more 'life' has happened, we’ve developed such a close relationship and special bond. I couldn’t imagine where we’d be without one another," Schultz told People. Warner proposed on a boat, the same place where they had reconnected with friends and family nearby. The couple hadn’t planned to bring the old photo into the celebrations, but their moms had other ideas. Schultz’s mom had not only kept the picture but also the original Little Tikes table and tea set.
Schultz said, "It was honestly really funny seeing how small we both were in the old pictures of us as babies to now barely fitting in the seats! It was definitely a staple at our engagement party and something that our guests surely won’t forget about us." The recreated photo became one of the most talked-about parts of the event. Viewers online were also touched by the recreation. @sydneys202 wrote, "Your parents KNEW they had to keep it for something special." @mtheob6 suggested, "Please use this table at your wedding to eat your dinner!" @tashintomorrowland said, "Only a mother’s intuition would have known to save that table and tea set." @tyleenaaa quipped, "Omg, made me think of that movie called 'Love at the Christmas Table.'"
Schultz said that she had no clue the video would reach so many people. "I love making videos of things that I enjoy, places that I’ve been, or just sharing what’s going on in my life at the moment. But to wake up and see that my video had gone viral? Insane!" she explained. While they’re not sure if the table will appear at their wedding, Schultz said one thing is certain: "Maybe we’ll use it in the future with our own children."
