The Olympic Games are among the most popular sporting events that are watched by fans across the globe, and with the rise of social media, people have also found ways to show off their own athletic abilities. That's exactly what one Canadian mom named Breanne Allarie did in a video of her graceful gymnastics moves posted on her Instagram account @breanneallarie. After watching the Olympic gymnasts in action, the mother of two was inspired to recreate their feats in her kitchen, and her performance went viral with nearly 24 million views in just 3 days.

In her video, Allarie can be seen wearing a swimsuit and hair tied up in a high bun, ready to give the viral performance. She stood on a makeshift "mat" and waved at the "audience" for a dramatic entry. "Having the sudden urge to see if I could be an athlete after watching the Olympics," the text overlay said. As her husband was cheering for her behind the camera, Allarie did a split jump and landed accurately before praising herself saying, "Nailed it." Then came the forward rolls and forward flips, during which she fell flat on her belly on the mat and couldn't hold back laughter at her misses.

Just when viewers thought that she was an amateur, Allarie amazed everyone with an effortless headstand. "That was really good," she said, as her husband agreed. In an iconic wolf turn, the mom almost spun a full circle before falling down in a fit of laughter. "That was better than I thought it was going to be," the husband said hyping her up, but said no when she wondered if she could do a backflip. Allarie ended her performance with a stellar split jump and exclaimed, "Gold, gold!" The mom captioned her video, "I feel like I could have done a back flip. I would also like to say they make it look so much easier than it is. Olympics on repeat over here."

People lauded the mom's performances and showered her with flattering comments. "Paris called. The USA gymnastics team's alternate sprained a toe. You're up," quipped @heartsofhealingcentre. "That was way better than anything I could have done," said @heather_rios_arte. "This was amazing! YES! All of us former athletes out here pulling muscles and throwing tricks to prove we still got it — when, in fact, we don't fully still have it," chimed in @jennakutcher.

From Allarie's almost perfect moves, one would guess that she had some background in gymnastics. "I was in intense gymnastics competitively until I was about 14 years old. Originally, I really wanted to go to the Olympics. And then, as I got older, I was like, 'OK, maybe not the Olympics, but a full-ride scholarship.' That was the goal," she told TODAY. But while doing a tumbling pass during a practice session, the mom-of-two landed on her neck and fractured her back. After recovering from the accident, she took up dance and she and her husband worked at cruise ships and Tokyo Disney. After giving this viral performance, Allarie got her gold not only from some of her followers in the comments but also from her 4-year-old son.
