Most kids are always eager to return home at the earliest after a tiring day at school. Many depend on the bus, while others cycle or walk back home. For some children, their parents pick them up from the school. Mom @kyiasamone is also one of them. One day, when she showed up late to pick her daughter up from her elementary school, the little one was not having it. The woman shared a hilarious video of her daughter's outburst and it has since gone viral.

The hilarious clip has amassed 47.5 million views and 48.2K comments on the social media platform. The text overlay on the video reads, "POV: Your mama pick you up from school late." We can see the little girl approaching the car and swinging open the door, holding her bag to tell her mother, "I know you not picking me up no more (sic)." The mother finds the girl's passive-aggressive response quite funny and starts laughing.

However, the girl is still quite mad at her mother and questions if she knows what "being early" means. She goes on to rant about how she specified that her mother had to pick her up early and not late. The woman tries to reason with the little girl, explaining that she was stuck on a call, which delayed her arrival. While the excuse sounded legitimate, the girl was still frustrated and insisted that she didn't wanna hear it.

The girl finally gets into the car towards the end of the clip and hilariously refuses to acknowledge her mother's excuse, looking away from her. People loved the video and parents, who have been in a similar situation before, shared their epic experiences in the comments section. @joannacarvalho438 said, "When I have a daughter and she comes out with my personality." @jamellaolivia_ commented, "Can't even get mad because they act just like us." Another individual, @callum620, provided a hypothetical scenario, saying, "Imagine she was a manager and you were late to work." @prettyyblackkkk added: "I picked my son up late and he said, 'If you don’t love me, just say that'."

On a more serious note, parents should go to pick up their children from school on time. This is because teachers also often have to stay back with the children if their parents are late. One school decided to do something about a lack of punctuality among parents and began to charge a $2 fine for every minute that they showed up late, according to Bored Panda. Kristin Evans, who works as a preschool educator, talked about this in a TikTok video. She shares, "The director of my school just walked up to me and handed me $116. She said it was because one of my half-day students was picked up almost an hour late, and we get paid $2 a minute for every minute that they're late." She added, "So this parent was charged $2 a minute for being late and it goes directly to my pocket."

The school cared about their employees, as they ended up having to stay beyond paid working hours to ensure the child's safety till their parents arrived. Therefore, putting in such a system would benefit the teachers and deter parents from being late. It seemed that many other schools were doing this, according to people in the comments section. @mrs._evans said, "My son's school charges $20/min." @courtneyy_22_ said, "My daycare charges [a dollar] a minute; I have yet to have to pay it, but I feel like my time [is] coming."

@mrs._evans This is a first and it feels weird. During my 10+ years in public education, I regularly waited 20-30 mins after school with students waiting for parent pick up. #publiceducation This late pick up policy is in my new school's admission agreement. #privateschool ♬ original sound - Mrs. Evans
