Mom puzzled about daughter's unusual food request to Santa cracks up after learning about the reason

Kids rarely have all the information and they try their best to seek it in any way possible. This story is a hilarious example of the same.

Christmas is every kid's dream holiday. They get to eat chocolates and cookies, they get to go out and see the world dancing and most importantly, they get their yearly report card from Santa Claus along with a reward for being nice. But sometimes, kids can ask for the weirdest things from Santa Claus and embarrass their parents. In a video posted on TikTok by Casie (@casiereeebs), she narrated a story that will have you rolling on the floor laughing out loud.

Reebs starts narrating the story by saying that her daughter, during Christmas time, sat on Santa's lap and when he asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she promptly said, "Hi Santa, can you please bring us some food?" Not only that, she went on to explain more. Mentioning the lack of food, she said, "We don't have any food in the house." The mother, all this while, has been standing on the sidelines, having people offer her food and help. She's constantly thanking people for their kind offers and telling them they're okay, still confused as to why her daughter is saying they have no food.

Just when she thought that maybe the confusion had died, the daughter mentions how her mother says that they could keep the food they find only if it's good. She says, "Sometimes, we find food, but mommy says we can only have it if we're really good." Still insisting Santa get her and her family food, she promises to be a good kid. She says, "If you bring us food, I promise we'll be so good and we won't let the dog get it and ruin it." All this while, the mother is just still confused as to why her daughter is saying such things and worrying if the kid believes that they have no money whatsoever.

When the little girl jumps off of Santa's lap, Casie asks her why she asked Santa to get them food and that they have no food. The kid goes on to say that she did so because they had no food. The kid said, "We don't have any food!" The mother, still confused, explained to her little one that while they did go out to eat that night, that wasn't due to the lack of food but because she didn't feel like cooking. After some more frustratingly circular back and forth, Casie got her answers. What her daughter wanted was to play with kitchen food. She said they had no food without mentioning that they had no food in the play kitchen, hence causing this hilarious confusion.

Seeing this, a lot of parents on the internet came together to share similar stories. @azsli2 said, "My daughter told Santa she wants a blanket because I don't have any. Clean! She didn't have clean because she wet the bed and they were in the dryer!" @victoriahadley6 said, "My brother told the teacher, 'Mom went to heaven last week'.
