Most women realize their true power once they become mothers. For them, nothing and no one is above their children, and they would go to any extent to protect them from the cruel world. This profound truth about motherhood was witnessed when Emma Schols risked her life to save her children during a deadly house fire. The brave woman was sleeping in her home when the entire home caught fire, per a report in Positive World Online. But, without a second thought, she first prioritized the safety of her six children, ensuring they escaped safely before thinking of herself. Recalling the incident, she shared what was running through her mind, "If I birthed 6 kids, I’m gonna get 6 kids out.”

Schols was sleeping when her entire bottom floor caught fire. Worried that her younger sons were sleeping there, the Swedish woman opened her front door, only to realize that her house was engulfed in fire. Anxious about her kids' safety, she immediately rushed downstairs and guided her sons out of the front door. She literally covered them with her own body so that the raging flames would not hurt her kids. After retrieving them to safety, Schols returned to rescue her other kids. The staircase was covered with flames, but she was determined to save her children.

Without caring about the fire, she climbed the blazing staircase to reach her kids. She shouted and asked her kids to escape from the balcony. Fortunately, her eldest son got hold of a ladder and helped his siblings to escape the fire. While the mother successfully saved all her six kids, she sustained burns across 93% of her body. Meanwhile, when u/kronyzx on Reddit shared the incredible story, the post received an overwhelming response on social media.

For instance, u/past_contour commented, "Damn. Bless that plastic surgeon too. Also, she can recover from burns. But she probably wouldn’t have been able to live with herself if she hadn’t saved her children." u/bethlizardbreath revealed, "I feel like (most) mothers get that feeling—for me, it was as soon as my son was born—where you know you would do anything, I mean anything, to save them if you had to. I’ve never been a violent or aggressive person, but it was almost like a new animal awoke inside me. I’ll bet that animal was raging inside her. Incredible."

u/liziamnot shared, "When my daughter was three months old, a young man threw a Gatorade bottle at our car, hitting the back driver-side window. My postpartum brain went into overdrive. He was beside us at the next red light. He yelled at us. I rolled my window down and then told him my daughter was in the car. I'm not sure what I said next, but it involved his murder. The driver of the car sped off and stayed a light ahead of me. The new momma brain doesn't mess around."

u/isaystoImIsays praised the woman, "She's a hero, just like anyone can be in such a situation. When that adrenaline hits, you'll power through burns to get those kids out or die trying." u/grizzlyironbear pointed out, "Now that is a mom! Channel that absolute unit of a spirit animal and literally walk through hell on earth to save your children. I hope she is somehow made into a comic book superhero. I'd totally buy that series."
