The mom showed people what her daughter had kept in her pink bag and people came up with their own reasoning for why it was there.
Kids love to keep things in their little bags. From toys to a snack, they carry around whatever they feel like. However, this mom was shocked when she found something different in her daughter's bag. Amanda Kinner–who goes by @amandaruthk on TikTok–shared a video in which she showed people what her daughter had kept in her pink bag. It grabbed a lot of attention online.
In the 12-second video, the mom shows a pink and white princess-themed purse and the text overlay reads, "Wanted to see what was in my 3-year-old daughter's purse." She then opens it and finds a small silver-colored plastic knife. After this, Kinner keeps it back in the bag and closes it. The video garnered over 3 million views on the platform and is captioned, "Remind me to always be on her good side, lol."
People in the comments guessed why the child had kept that thing in the bag and it was hilarious. @billieraelambert commented, "My daughter, at 7 years old, had a Hello Kitty keychain holding candy and had a little dispenser. She never ate the OG candy, but she refilled the thing with bacon bits." @taytayonthebuffet wrote, "My daughter used to do this. She is now 15 and prepping for university to become a surgeon."
@user441461348639 expressed, "She's smart…Streets are rough out there!" @thegreatwhiteshark4 added, "You're teaching her well. Never take her safety for granted!" @mehrad.nasiri said, "When your daughter means business more than you would have ever meant on a daily basis." @southern_mama_of_six expressed, "She said, 'Ain’t got to get ready if you stay ready.'" The video is a testament to how imaginative kids are and tend to make a toy out of whatever they find around.
In an interview with Newsweek, Kinner said she was curious to see what her daughter put in her little purse to take outside in the backyard to play. She went on to say that her child has a sweet and empathetic nature and is usually busy playing with dolls and doing imaginary play. "She is the kindest soul you'll ever meet. She loves happiness and it's her love language," she said. The mom added, "She loves her some Jesus." Also, Kinner clarified that the knife was not meant as a weapon but was an improvised tool for playing. She shared, "She put that in there because she was playing in her kitchen. She wanted to go outside, and she likes to play in the dirt and anything she can use to dig, she uses."
The mother also said that she was not promoting violence for children when posting the video. Kinner said, "The context isn't close to that. I knew adults would have a different sense of humor upon posting, but my baby girl's intent was simply to play." The woman was surprised by the sort of attention that her short video clip grabbed. "It's such a simple funny video that I never expected that much of a reaction to," she concluded.
