A son has gone the extra mile by making his mother a special type of present that is very meaningful.
It's that time of the year when one gets a lot of gifts. What makes gift-giving even more special is when little children give their parents meaningful presents as a way of saying thanks for everything they have done for them. This was exactly the case for Destiny (@love_makes_family_grow) who is a mother to six children. She received a handmade advent calendar from her 10-year-old son, Ezra. The video has gained over 2.9 million views on the social media site.
Destiny is very happy to get this gift from her son and decides to open the first flap, brimming with excitement to see what is in there. She finds a candy bar in the first one, along with a handwritten note where he expresses that he loves the Lasagna she makes. Little Ezra also shares that he put the candy from his own supply, which is really a big deal. The woman is overwhelmed with joy and asks him how he made it.
Ezra shares that he used an old pizza box and had to adjust it a bit because of its thin nature. She then asks him, "Why did you make me an advent calendar, Ezra?" He explains that he felt compelled to gift her one because she gave everyone else the same thing. So, he thought that it would be good for her to have her own advent calendar. People found the boy's gesture quite wholesome and expressed their thoughts in the comments section.
@mmmmmaddison said, "I need you to open and film every day, please! This is so sweet!" Destiny complied and posted a follow-up video where she explored what was in the second flap of the advent calendar. Right before she opened it up, Ezra asked her to guess what could be in it. She shares that she has no idea. Viewers get to see a candy bar and a handwritten compliment about the woman's hair.
Ezra clarifies that he likes her new haircut. In the third video, we see a different candy bar and a note instructing her not to use filters when recording herself because Ezra believes his mother is beautiful. We also get to see a video of the unboxing on the fourth day, where it's a candy and a note that reads, "You're like a Mars bar. I enjoy every bite." The woman finds this note very funny. The latest video showcases a different candy bar and a note that read, "Thanks for your love."
Many people on the social media site continue to follow the mother and son's daily updates to see what the boy has kept in the advent calendar. @notaplantenthusiast said, "This shows how great of a mom you are with all these notes he gives you." @therainydaydoula shared, "6 months pregnant with my first. Just watched all of these and I am fully crying. Absolutely beautiful display of love." @famitubers wholesomely pointed out, "Honestly, those candies may feel bland when they are next to those extremely sweet messages."
