She addresses her husband in a similar manner to how women are often spoken to, sarcastically offering to do the dishes while highlighting the need for recognition.
While women bear the majority of household responsibilities, they do not seek to be placed on a pedestal. However, it is noticeable that when their partners perform a few tasks around the house, they often feel the need to showcase it, lacking subtlety. Clare Brown—who goes by @clarabellecwb on TikTok—recently made a hilarious video on gender roles and how men of the house would feel if they were talked to in the same way as women are.
Clare Brown, who goes by the name @clarabellecwb on TikTok, tells her husband, "Hey babe, I'm gonna do the dishes for you. Yeah you rest, you worked hard on dinner, okay I got this."
After which, she asks him, "When I opened the dishwasher there were dishes in there do I gotta put those away I'm just gonna put them on the counter." She begins to say, "I'm going to put them on the counter, I don't know where they go." With a broad smile on her face, she asks him, "Are you having a nice time relaxing I'm doing the dishes. It's exhausting so."
The mom then can be seen asking again, "Hey, are the dishes in the sink dirty?" She calls her dad and tells, "Guess what I'm going to do the dishes, just like you, yeah Trent lying down so you know it falls on me to do the dishes." After which the mom just throws all the dishes into the dishwasher and washes them. Later comes and asks her husband, "You wanna go down and look?"
The video received more than 99k views on TikTok and is captioned, "Not many wives would help like me." Many wives could resonate with the wife and found it hilarious. @saracolemaan commented, "This is so refreshing to see!! Modern wives do so much."
@lovelybones170 wrote, "Well done, mom!! I personally think men are better suited for those little household things but it was great of you to help." @mrs.patches90 expressed, "This is how you do it, ladies! Love seeing a mom step up around the house!" @dogsbetterthanpeople100 said, "I really hope her husband remembered to thank her after she went out of her way to help him with his chores! What a great partner she is!!"

In another story, a mom was told that she was not doing "anything around the house." Lindsay Donnelly—who goes by @lindsaydonnelly2 on TikTok, shared her response in a video, "So for two days, I really did nothing around the house," the overlay text reads.
She turns the camera to show how her house looks, starting from the kitchen. There are toys on the ground, unwashed dishes in the sink and the dining table have plates and glasses, along with a steamer. Moreover, laundry is piled up in the living room, the bathroom has all the stuff lying around and the bed is not made. The video has Taylor Swift's hit song, "Karma," playing in the background. After filming the video, Donnelly goes for a girls' weekend trip, leaving the house in shambles.
