Grief is a tough thing to go through and one needs constant support and company to get through it. A mom shared her tragic story which had its added silver linings making the entire story a wholesome and heartwarming one. The mom shared in a video that her son Ethan had passed away some time ago and the family decided to bring home a rabbit named Wilbur to help grieve and cope with the loss. The mom mentioned that having Wilbur had been a great help to them at a challenging time and that as a therapy animal, he helped the family get through the “hardest time” of their lives.

However, in another video, the woman sadly revealed that her rabbit had unfortunately passed away. The former added to the grief and made times more challenging than ever for the mom and her family. “Wilbur brought not only me but so many others so much joy. I have no words.” The woman is even seen sobbing and weeping bitterly as she tries to get back up on her feet after yet another devastating loss. However, the mom shared that there was hope that would emerge shortly. A nursery of raccoons appeared at the woman’s window and hasn’t stopped since.

The adorable yet unpredictable creatures who turned up only for a meal ended up providing solace and comfort to the mom. The woman often shares videos of the raccoons who regularly show up to find a meal waiting for them by the window. The mom has gone all out to provide for the hungry stomachs of the raccoons and they’re as good as her pets. In a viral video, the mom shared how the raccoons express a like and dislike towards the variety of dishes served and compiled the same. “How raccoons rate the food I serve them,” she said.

First up was cat food, the raccoon mischievously appeared on the window and grabbed a handful from the bowl. He loudly munched it, waiting by the bowl to grab more soon after he was done. “10/10,” the text overlay read. Next, there were a few grapes kept by the window and the raccoons with their tiny hands, two of them this time, grabbed the grapes and munched as they looked at the woman. They happily munched, loving the juicy fruit giving it a "10000/10." To everyone’s surprise, the creatures were not fans of pizza and left it untouched and went away.

Spoiled for choice, the furry guys were introduced to strawberry which again they detested giving it a "10/10." The scrambled eggs were surely the winning dish as the raccoons scrumptiously devoured them hurriedly. “He even took the plate,” the text read. Next up, the woman revealed that the raccoons were simple creatures and just wanted basic food. They chose fruit loops over lasagna and weren’t fans of chicken pot pie either. The raccoons and their bizarre yet amusing behavior were truly the silver lining for the mom. The raccoons turned out to be the therapy animals for the mom and it was just what she needed at a time of loss and despair. The internet couldn't get enough of the raccoons. @emmaline1980 commented, "Nursery of raccoons become light of hope for mom grieving loss of son via adorable drive-thru stop." @sway,marie rightly pointed out, "For normal wild raccoons always eating trash - these are pretty picky!"
