One of the biggest problems stressing the people in the United States is the very high cost of healthcare. It has reached a point where getting necessary procedures done burns a hole in one's pocket. Hanna Castle, a mother who goes by @hannacastle on TikTok, shared a deeply concerning video where she highlighted the insane costs she had to pay for having four premature babies in America. Her video gained 8.2 million views and 23.2K comments. She began the video by sharing how important it was for others to know about the absurd prices that she had to pay within the American healthcare system.

She clarified: "And this is not including the delivery. This is the cost of all the care that the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) team did." Castle's first child, named Atlas, was the smallest of the four, coming at 1 pound and 14 ounces. Atlas was incubated quickly but came home within 64 days. Then we get to see a long medical bill, highlighting the cost of various things over 13 pages, that included everything Atlas needed; the bill came out to an eye-watering $714,747. Castle moved on to the next baby, her daughter Magnolia, who came home after being incubated for 74 days.

"She was the healthiest the whole time," the woman revealed. The cost of her treatment came out to $728,625. Her son, Morgan, stayed longer for 86 days at the NICU and the medical bill for his treatment had over 27 pages. Morgan's bill was higher than two of his previous siblings, amounting to $976,415. Castle continued, "And last, but certainly not least, my baby D, Dominic, who spent 147 days in the NICU." Dominic's bill alone came out to $1.6 million.

Castle concluded, "Making my grand total to have premature quadruplets who need life-saving treatment in America cost $4,045,927." The woman had no further comments to add as the costs were just too high. People who watched the video shared in the comments section how they too suffered from obscenely high medical bills. @saralou8220 commented, "My son spent 6 months in the NICU. In the 1st year of his life, he had 15 surgeries. He was in the billions!" @wethoney expressed, "Wow. And I was scared about being broke after college. This takes the cake."

American healthcare system really needs to improve. Kayleigh Ogut, who goes by @kayleighogut on TikTok, posted a video where she revealed how she was shocked at the dental care that she received in Turkey, in contrast to her homeland, the United States. Ogut had gone to the dentist to have a root canal fixed. She says, "They X-rayed me three times. My American dentist never X-rayed it." The Turkish dentist explained that he did multiple X-rays to make sure the filling was covering the space.

She also said, "They never even broke the crown of the tooth that, if they had broken, would have needed to be replaced. They didn't break it." The experience proved to be quite different from the kind of care that she experienced in America. The cost for the whole procedure was only $7, while it cost a shocking $6000 in the US. Ogut stated, "My husband and I genuinely do not know how we could ever say goodbye to the health care here."
