One of the biggest tasks for a parent while their kid grows up is carefully documenting their journey. Before technology developed so much, most parents had no choice but to utilize physical copies of photos and other crucial documents. However, they now have the flexibility to rely on technology to track their child's journey throughout life. A mom—who goes by @lovely_lean_aesthetics on Instagram—shared a post that detailed how parents would find it incredibly useful to make email addresses for their children before they were born. The video has garnered nearly 3 million views and over 70K likes on the platform.

The video lasts a few seconds and showcases the mom printing out labels for her kids' folders and arranging them in an orderly manner. The text overlay reads, "Discover my 3 favorite benefits from creating an email address for my daughter before she was even born! We can see two boxes with the children's names, containing demarcated folders for each of the important stages of their lives. In the post's caption, she wrote, "I didn't realize the incredible benefits until my oldest was a toddler, but I secured an email address for my daughter before she was even born!" She further explained how the primary benefit of doing this gave her an easy way to store her kids' memories in the digital format.

The mother clarified, "Think birthdays, family vacations, as well as simple but just as important memories-like the first day learning to ride a bike or a spontaneous beach day." Another useful thing was that these emails would essentially serve as time capsules for children and allow them to revisit fond memories from their childhood. She wrote, "When they're older, they can browse through old emails and attachments to reminisce about special events, achievements, or conversations." Finally, other family members and friends could easily contribute with whatever level of commitment they wanted to have with it.

Also, she wrote, "As an added bonus, you're securing email addresses of their formal names. Although you may want to leave out full middle names for security purposes." The mother mentioned that the time capsule bins showcased in the video were the best way to store all the extra artwork and documents the child would have as they got older. Furthermore, email was the perfect way to store memories as parents would not be able to keep all of the physical copies of their child's important moments with them. People who watched the video found the woman's idea very creative and shared their thoughts in the comments.

@carlaivxp commented, "My dad made my email when I got my first tablet. So glad he did it; it sounds so fancy and professional." @autisticqrow said, "Me and my brother made ones for video games. I was around 5 years old and used it for club penguin." @ohjasminee highlighted, "My name is so common that I wish I had my email. And I had a Gmail account in beta! I always support parents doing this."
