Mom dares daughter to tell a guy at the Holiday Inn front desk that he's cute — and ends up marrying him

A person might find love in the most unexpected places and in the most unusual ways. However, a dare turning into a love story is probably a plot straight out of a romance novel. Nonetheless, Summer Pfleger–who goes by @summerwa101 on TikTok–got to live that in real life. Pfleger's mother urged her to tell a hotel employee at Holiday Inn that she found him cute. Safe to say, it took no time before their sweet interaction turned into a fairy tale romance. She shared her story with clips she had recorded for over a year since the day she told him she found him cute.

The video began with Pfleger getting ready to make that call. "There's a really cute guy who works at the front desk and my mom has dared me to call him and tell him that I think he's cute, but I'm nervous as heck, but we're gonna do it," Pfleger shared. She made the call eventually and told the man named Ethan, "I came down for forks a few minutes ago. Okay, so you're probably gonna think I'm really weird, but my mom dared me to do this because I've been telling her that I thought you were really cute, and she didn't think that I would do this, so I just had to call and see if you're single."

She found out that Ethan was single and eventually got his number. Then, Pfleger shared they were going on a date. "I am not good at this, but I am going to do it. I'll tell you how it goes." She also shared how Ethan had brought her flowers. She later informed her viewers they had been on many dates, indicating things were going well. Pfleger also shared the day he asked her to be his girlfriend. "Okay, so the night that I got his number, I had asked for a fork for my food, and he didn't show me where the forks were. And so we've made fun of that since then," she explained. "And so he asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday, and this is how he did it. He gave me a fork that says 'be my girlfriend' with the day that we met."

At one point, she even said she was going to marry Ethan as he was everything she had ever wanted in a husband. They also met her parents and decorated Christmas lights. Ethan went as far as to get the entire table decorated with butterflies on one of their dates because Pfleger really liked them. She also kept some to put on her wedding cake. In the next scene, she shared, "Okay, y'all, so it's my birthday, and my boyfriend took me to the place where we had our first date ever and he popped the question, so now he's my fiancé!" She recorded several updates in one video throughout the time and while planning their wedding. The couple, who met at the Holiday Inn, eventually got married a year later after they met.

She concluded the video by sharing a clip of herself all dolled up and ready to say her vows. People in the comments were in awe over Pfleger's beautiful love story. @holidayinnexpress wrote, "Congrats to you both!
