The mom of a little girl was left in splits at her daughter's innocent love triangle in school when a little boy proposed to her with a ring.
Kids often do things that seem adorable at first but can have unexpected consequences. Young children might show affection with toys or, in this case, what appeared to be a real diamond ring. TikToker Allie Phillips, known as @.allie.phillips, shared a hilarious and surprising story about her 6-year-old daughter, who already has two determined suitors competing for her attention.
Phillips began by sharing how one little boy had gone to great lengths to show his fondness for her daughter. At just six years old, her daughter was already experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions when it came to choosing between two suitors. "Buckle in. This is hilarious," Phillips teased at the beginning of her video. Her daughter’s “boyfriend,” or more accurately, her kindergarten buddy, was still with her in first grade.
Her daughter was thrilled to have her “boyfriend,” Brandon, in her class and often talked about how they were in love and would marry one day. But their innocent love story hit a sudden bump. "One day she came home and said, 'I need to tell you something. Mom, you need to sit down,'" the mom said, barely succeeding at holding her laughter. Phillips' daughter went on to explain how a little boy named Trevor had approached her during recess and gifted her an actual diamond ring.
And just like that, the 6-year-old “dumped” Brandon and became Trevor’s girlfriend because, as Phillips put it, "he rolled up with a ring." Cracking up, Phillips showed viewers the expensive-looking ring Trevor had somehow procured. It seemed her daughter was already discovering that her love language might be gifts. When asked where Trevor got the ring, her daughter simply said he claimed, “I buy it all the time."
Phillips was determined to return the expensive bling to its rightful owner. She went on to post pictures of the ring in her daughter's school group on Facebook and asked around if anyone had a boy named Trevor in first grade. The little Romeo's mom finally stepped forward to reveal that the ring belonged to Trevor's great-grandmother who was alive and lives in Alabama. Trevor had apparently swooped the ring for his class crush when the family went to visit Alabama.
Phillips quickly made the arrangements to ship the ring away to its owner. The TikTok community was dying to get an update on this first-grade love triangle as they flooded the comment section with curious remarks. Some people pitied poor Brandon who was probably heartbroken. @tracynbt joked: "Update! Great Gram leaves the ring to Trevor and 20 years from now he gives it to her again! For keeps this time."

They got married 23 years later." @granna_2_5 added a story: "When I was 8 I gave my Daddy’s wedding ring to the boy next door. I got busted when his momma brought it back and gave it to my mom."
In an update video, the mom notified her viewers that her daughter's name is Adalie and the ring has safely made it back to its owner. Adalie's story got famous enough and she even got interviewed by a local news channel on her first-grade love triangle scenario. Turns out, diamonds are a girl's best friend after all.
