The woman's children decided to give her one after another surprise on the day and her reaction was so wholesome.
Most people like to see their families and loved ones during the holidays. However, it isn't always an easy thing because of a wide variety of reasons. So when a person has given up hope to see their family for a holiday, it can be a really special feeling to get to see them against all odds. A mom had a similar reaction when she got back-to-back surprises from her children on Thanksgiving six years ago. The daughter, Jenny Marrs, who goes by @jennymarrs on Instagram, took to the platform to share her mom's reaction.
"That time (six years ago), when we drove through the night to surprise my parents with a Thanksgiving visit," the text overlay read. The car turned a corner and the mom was doing something on her porch. The moment she saw the family, she simply couldn't contain her joy and started jumping up and down and screaming. "Marrs family in the house," one of the three kids said from the back. By the time the family got out of the car, the woman was in tears. "Worth it," Marrs wrote. The mom gave each of them a hug. Soon enough, the woman's sister showed up, too. "My sister and her family (who lived in Hawaii at that time...) surprised her too." The mom had the same screaming and jumping excited reaction to seeing the sister's family.
"Oh my god!" the mom repeated as she went ahead and hugged her daughter and the kids. "And then we shared our big family news...Luke was on the way." When the mom heard the news, she exclaimed, "What? Are you kidding me!" The caption read, "My all-time favorite Thanksgiving memory! Six years ago today, we managed to surprise my mom three separate times with: 1) our unexpected arrival, 2) my sister’s family’s unexpected arrival and most surprising of all, 3) Luke’s unexpected upcoming arrival. My mom is THE best person to surprise. I’ll never get over it." The woman added, "She loves nothing more than having her kids and grandkids together. She loves so very big! And, my sweet, quiet Dad. He takes it all in through misty, loving eyes."
People took to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on the video. @autheticity50 wrote, "Such an amazing surprise video, Jenny! Tears flowin' over here. We loved seeing your Mom's joy and happy tears!" @leezyleezybobeezy commented, "I once flew home for a long Christmas holiday, and when I was leaving, my parents were sad as usual since I live on the other side of the US. But then I snuck home two weeks later for my mom’s birthday and even though it had only been two weeks, when she walked in and saw me, she jumped and cried, 'You’re here!'"
@ourgoldenhoneyhive remarked, "Just pictured her standing in the kitchen looking out over the room with all her family and just feeling so blessed!" @meplustwo464 shared, "Awe, my husband and I were on active duty and we did this on a random four-day weekend we hopped a plane and rented a car and surprised them while we were on the phone with his mom!" @taylor.a.swan expressed, "The way you described your dad and then I look at him in the video and I'm misty-eyed seeing him so full of joy too."
