The shop owner told her that she didn't need to pay, but the mom insisted on returning the money. 'My son wasn't raised like that...' she added

A boy walked up to a Baltimore County hot dog stand, pretending to be a customer. However, just as Muhsin Sarac (@musa_usa1981), the shop owner, got busy preparing the order, he stole money from the tip jar and ran away. Sarac saw the boy take the cash and informed the police, but was told nothing could be done since it was only about $30, WBFF reported. Letting the incident slip, he went about his day until the boy's mom arrived at his shop, apologizing for her son. Sarac livestreamed the whole scene and later posted the video on Instagram on April 1.
The boy asked for steak and cheese, and as Sarac got busy with his order, he used the opportunity to steal money from the tip jar. He then pretended to walk up to his car, but instead of returning, he fled the scene. A while after, a middle-aged woman arrived at Sarac's hot dog stand and introduced herself as the boy's mother. "How much did he take from here?" she asked, leaving the food stall owner flabbergasted.
Sarac told her that she didn't need to pay, but the mother insisted on returning the stolen money. "I am going to pay because my son wasn't raised like that," the mom added. Moreover, she explained that her son does "stupid" things under the influence. "I want to pay you back because you don't deserve to be stolen from," the mom said.
Overwhelmed by her gesture, Sarac asked if he could go and hug her. The lady agreed, and the shop owner immediately ran outside to meet her. The mom told him that she had put her son on treatment and hopes he gets better with time. "Good service; keep on helping the community, God bless you," she blessed Sarac before leaving.
The incident left a profound impact on Sarac. He not only forgave the youngster, but he also invited him and his mom to his shop. "If they don't mind my live streaming, we can make another video even with the son, Mommy. We can make dinner together," Sarac added. The mom's response is a reminder to parents to teach kids accountability. When she realized that her son had done something wrong, instead of shielding him, she came forward to apologize and return the stolen money.

Disciplining kids starts from a young age. In fact, the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll found that some parents start it as early as when their kids turn one. The survey found that while 63% of respondent parents discuss discipline strategies with their partners, 36% rely on parenting books, articles, and social media for strategies. Now, parenting can't be a one-size-fits-all approach, so different people have different ways to discipline their kids. For example, 53% of parents reported giving warnings to their kids now and then, whereas 13% reported putting the child in a time-out. Likewise, the survey revealed that some parents redirect or distract their kids from doing something unruly to discipline them.

Meanwhile, people online praised the mom. For instance, @jessicagon32 commented, "Bless this beautiful mother. I hope it never happens again, and he learns how much his mother loves him and wants to help him." @adamf_20 said, "What a beautiful mom; people make mistakes, and I just know she did not raise her son like that — god bless her, and may her son get the help he needs."
Similarly, @rezavi.m shared, "Wow, she is a queen — you can tell she was raised well by her mother, and now she wants to pass down the kindness and morality to her son. I am sure that her son will think twice before doing something like that again."
