At a time when gender reveal parties have pretty much become a parenting tradition, one mom from Brazil has gained international attention after her unconventional twist on the practice. When Millena Brandão's ex demanded a paternity test to prove who the father of their baby was, the mom-of-two was more than happy to oblige as she was certain the child was his. "I told him that I was absolutely sure that the child was his," Millena explained, reports Kidspot. "His response to this was that he had doubts and that no one could make him register the boy without the DNA test result."

Millena and her ex, who had been together since December 2019, are reportedly both from the north-eastern Brazilian municipality of Iati. Although the pair lived together in Osasco for a couple of months, Millena returned home when she was six months pregnant after her former partner accused her of cheating and announced that he would not raise the child until he knew for sure whether it was his or not. Although she agreed to conduct the paternity test without any fuss, she was intrigued when a friend suggested that she throw a paternity reveal party once she got the results.

After giving it some thought, Millena decided to go ahead and hold the event on March 4 this year. She also shared a video of the paternity reveal on Instagram, which has since gone viral across the globe and accumulated over 34k likes. "It reached Germany, England, Japan, the US...," she proudly told local media. The video showed Millena proving that her youngest son, Otto — who was 5 months old at the time — really was her ex-partner's biological child. In the now-viral clip of the celebration, the confident mom can be heard saying in front of her family and friends: "Otto's father asked for the DNA test and I decided to throw a party."

"If the result is positive, it's silver. If it's negative, it's blue," she explained about the event, which was held partly to embarrass her ex. With baby Otto in one hand and a balloon in the other, she then proceeded to burst the balloon and sent a hail of silver confetti flying across the room among cheers from the equally-as-excited crowd. Millena later revealed that although she received the test result on February 26, she decided to wait six days to hold the grand reveal.

"When (the result) was ready, (the woman) said we could each get it, so I went there and got mine. I don't know if the dad got his. I believe he found out he was the father through the party," she said. Millena's ex reportedly got in touch with her the day after the video was posted, to advise her that his lawyer would get in touch with her. Meanwhile, as Millena enjoys her sweet and well-publicized revenge, countless women on social media are praising her for going the extra step to get back at her ex.

"Very creative! May more women who go through this be inspired by you," commented Instagram user kesiacarrazzone.adv. "I loved your attitude, this is the kind of father that will not be missed in your child's life, in fact, I don't even think you should let him live with his father because a father who doesn't know how to respect a woman... will pass on what lessons to the son," wrote daianebaraldi. "You slapped the society and [the ex] in the face, who didn't want to be your son's father without having to touch your hand. Good. I think he had no doubts that he was the father of the child, he just didn't want to be a real man to assume the son," commented king.s37.
