Woman shares hilarious story of how her mom accidentally hired a stripper for her 5th birthday party

A woman recently shared the story of how her mother accidentally hired a stripper for her Barbie-themed 5th birthday party. In a now-viral TikTok video, @joolia_go0lia revealed that the entertainer her mother hired turned out to be a stripper. The TikToker, whose real name is Julia Duggan and who is a 32-year-old pharmacist, said in the video: “My parents hired an adult entertainer for my 5th birthday party by accident.”

Back in the 90s, one would have to look up numbers in the phonebook and they didn’t always have photos alongside numbers so it was an innocent mistake, she pointed out. “The woman shows up and she’s a stripper and I love her,” Duggan says in the hilarious clip. “She played along. She did not take off her clothes. I followed her around, thrilled that Barbie came to my birthday party, and all of the parents there had a really good laugh.”

Many people were amused by Duggan's story. @acrobatherin commented, "I'm so glad she played along, honestly it was probably one of her funnest days at work." @vuchie15 added, "I hope she sees this and tells us a storytime about it." @chaptern3xt said, "Probably one of the best parties she's been to! Duggan, who lives in Maine, recalled to TODAY that the woman arrived in a bikini top and a grass skirt and had “very long blonde hair.” “I just remember holding her hand and walking around,” Duggan said. “I was starstruck." At the time she didn't realize what was going on and only found out the truth when she was in high school. “We were looking at old photos before we moved, and I was like, ‘Uh, what kind of Barbie did you hire for my birthday party? Interesting choice,’” Duggan shared. “And my mom was like, 'Oh, it’s an interesting story.’”

In an update, Duggan said she and her mom tried looking for photos of the party but were unable to do so. Many of their family photos were damaged when the basement of their house flooded, she explained. Nevertheless, she hopes the Barbie impersonator stumbles upon her TikTok video and reaches out. "Stripper Barbie if you're out there, just reach out. Let us know you exist and how you're doing. And just know that you made this Barbie-loving girl's heart so happy that day," Duggan shared.
