The bully had been hitting and bothering her daughter, so the mom decided to write to the teacher to look into it.
Dealing with a child being bullied at school is never easy for a parent, but one mom’s attempt to handle the situation took an unexpected—and hilariously awkward—turn. Jennifer Mullen (@itsjennifermullen on TikTok) emailed her daughter’s teacher about a class bully, only to realize too late that she had accidentally CC’d every parent in the class—including the bully’s. The embarrassing mistake led to a mix of panic and laughter, and Mullen later shared the entire incident online.
"I emailed my daughter's teacher about the boy in her class who kept bullying and hitting her. Apparently, I sent it to all the parents in the class, including the bully's," the text overlay of the video read. The mom showed a thumbs-up to the camera with a stunned expression and ended up lying face down on the ground out of embarrassment. The caption read, "The worst part was they were so nice and apologetic about it." The mom explained, "In my defense, the teacher CC'd the group email address instead of BCC, so I had access to it, which I shouldn't have and it was almost identical to her email address."
"PS. This happened a few years ago, but I will never forget the feeling of embarrassment when I found out," she added. In one of the comments, she remarked, "I probably would have worded it a little differently, but I’m so glad I was kind and firm in my email and didn’t say anything I wouldn’t say in front of the parents." The mom ended up getting a lot of support through the comments on the video. @investigations590 wrote, "I vote that all classroom issues be managed this way. What better way to bridge the school-to-home gap than with transparency and accountability?" @ouradventures365 remarked, "Well, as a teacher, I support this because unfortunately, other than a conversation, these days there are no consequences. So at least his mom knows, and nothing is more powerful than public shaming to stop it."

@eemee222 commented, "If I were a parent from the class, I would have emailed back to tell you what happened if you didn’t already know and tell you a great job. Chances she’s not alone either." The mom replied, "She wasn’t the only one. I went to volunteer at the school one day and that same little boy pushed a girl half his size to the floor, she was lying on the floor crying, the teacher a few feet away." @boymomx3.0 shared, "We had a parent in the class chat blast a bully to all parents. The teacher removed that parent and I still wonder if things got resolved. I'd want to know if it was my kid. I'd stop that immediately."
After receiving comments saying that she shouldn't be embarrassed about it, the mom made another video where she got up off the floor and mouthed thank you. The caption explained, "I was not prepared for the amount of supportive, encouraging, and compassionate comments I received on my last video. You guys are the best! Thank you for your kindness!" Mullen revealed that the bullying did not end with the incident and they had to move their daughter to another school a few years ago. "I wish we could find a perfect solution to kids being bullied at school and providing teachers with more support, but at least it’s reassuring to know that the majority of parents are on the same page when it comes to how bullying should be handled."
@itsjennifermullen Replying to @Megan🤍 I was not prepared for the amount of supportive, encouraging and compassionate comments I received on my last video. 🥹😭 You guys are the best! Thank you for your kindness! That happened a few years ago, unfortunately the bullying didn’t end there so we did end up moving our daughter to a new school. I wish we could find a perfect solution to kids being bullied at school, and providing teachers with more support, but at least it’s reassuring to know that the majority of parents are on the same page when it comes to how bullying should be handled. 🫶🏼 #momoflittles #momcomedy #momcommunity #momhumor #momreels #sahm #honestmotherhood #realmotherhood #momsover30 #relatable #accurate #funnymom #momlife #millenialmom #strugglingmom #coolmom #youngmom #momoffour #funnymomstuff #funnymoms #funnymom #humor #momsoftiktokclub #momtiktok #tiktokmoms #bullyingawareness #bullyingisnotcool ♬ Friendship - Oak Sand & Primetime Tracks
