No one really likes to pay a visit to the doctor unless there’s an emergency. Pets especially often hesitate and some even get aggressive during their checkups. This cat from Anchorage, Alaska, went all out against her veterinarian in her bid to avoid treatment. The black Bombay cat’s owner, Aurora Lothbro—who goes by @hthemermaid on TikTok— took to the platform to share the sweet gesture extended by the kitty “Nebula” to make up for her ferocious behavior at the clinic.

In the video, the author and adventurer showed her cat with an apology letter. A warning in advance to those who burst out into laughter: there is more. “Nebula was a meanie, so she sent the vet a card. She bites,” Aurora wrote. The footage starts with the all-black kitty looking innocently into the camera as if she is genuinely apologetic for her brash behavior.

According to the cat’s owner, the incident happened a couple of weeks ago. Nebula and her cat sister Gamora went for a routine checkup to a local veterinarian. While her sister was reportedly calm and composed during the visit, the “mini-panther,” known for her wild side, got aggressive. In order to defend herself, she went commando by jumping around. Following this, when the doctor finally managed to get their hands on Nebula, the little cat bit the vet.

Now, the tables were turned, and Nebula’s owner made her apologize in the most heartfelt way. Aurora created a personalized apology letter with a special mention to the doctor. It features the black cat in several cute poses along with a memorable message: “Sorry, I bite you. I bite my mom too (see above). Meow. Nebula,” it read.

Additionally, it had two adorable pictures of Nebula innocently sitting on the sofa in colorful attire. The cover of the card was made of the kitty’s portrait with tiny human hands making a heart gesture. The video further showed the owner placing the apology card next to the cat, who seemed to have realized her mistake, as per social media scrollers. The 15-second clip has gone viral, garnering around 576,000 views online and counting.

Among the several reactions to it, @mammallama2012 wrote, “She is in fact not sorry. LoL!” To which, the cat mom replied, “She’ll pretend she is for treats, though.” Similarly, @Opaque_sunflower added, “As a veterinarian, this card would absolutely make my week!” Aurora responded wittily to the doctor, “I hope you don’t get bitten, but if you do, you definitely deserve a card,” along with a heart emoji.

Another veterinarian, Monroe James (also known as @thatorangecat), remarked, “I would frame this and treasure it.” @kelsandra commented, “Neither of the patients that bit me sent me a card.” “The pawdacity! Please don’t say they were human,” replied Aurora. @courtney.e.petersen suggested, “Should have her chew on the edges a little bit to really get the point across that she bites, lol.” Aurora loved the idea and agreed to follow it, saying, “My dog would have loved to help with that.”
