73-year-old boomer who was riding a cycle claimed that he had more rights than the young driver until the cops arrived.
Skateboarder Pierce Kempton was going on and about his day in Park City, Utah when he fell victim to a nasty situation. The 22-year-old was confronted by a furious 73-year-old millionaire, Gary Peacock on his cycle. Since Kempton was in his car, his dashcam ended up recording the moment when Peacock started arguing about how Kempton was driving way too close to him. He also threatened to call the police on the young man and he ultimately did that as well. However, things took a turn and the outcome did not favor Peacock at all.
In a video posted on Kempton's TikTok page, @pezkempton, the showdown that went on for more than 6 minutes captured Peacock's aggressive actions as he repeatedly tried to stop Kempton from leaving and even grabbed the young man by his shoulders. "I've got a very aggressive teenager here that almost hit me with the car and now he won't give me his last name and now he's trying to leave. I'm in Park City and we're at the skate park. He's in a Subaru. The license plate is **** and he's recording me because he's a jerk. I want you to come and give this guy a ticket. I'll be willing to testify in court against this guy," Peacock continued to rant over the phone.
Kempton kept his camera on and held his composure. "I'm riding a bike, I have more rights than you!" Peacock yelled at one point. "If I have it my way, you're going to jail. I'll press charges against you." Kempton continued to act nonchalant but he didn't stop filming the whole fiasco either. When the police arrived, Peacock was handed a fine of $160 for disorderly conduct and Kempton had to give $130 for passing too closely. Kempton talked to Daily Mail where he revealed that he had "no clue that Peacock would approach him after passing him on the roadway and he was just confused by the whole interaction."
In a follow-up video, Kempton displayed the email he received from Park City Assistant, City Attorney, Tricia Lake. The email clarified that no additional charges could be pressed against Peacock since he had already paid his fine. "The only thing further I can do is a civil lawsuit," Kempton told his followers in the video. On the other hand, Peacock was interviewed by KPCW where he claimed that he never intended to call the cops on Kempton and simply wanted him to be more careful.

"I lost my temper," he told the outlet. "I didn't go there to hit them or do anything but to just tell him 'Hey, you came way too close to me. And I'm upset about it. I'm angry about it.' And then his reaction just set me off." He additionally recalled that he had some risky experiences while cycling on the streets beforehand but he had never confronted anyone. "This guy, unfortunately, was the subject of my wrath, because of all these other incidents," he told KPCW. The TikTok community shamed Peacock for his behavior and sided with the young driver.

I had a salty Karen last week but not this bad." @dogs.and.dudes commented, "Cop should’ve taken him for unlawful detention. This would be a harder case than one I had, but still, enough PC given his exact words saying he’s not gonna let you leave when he has no authority." @segura.aaron joke, "Wouldn’t have been able to call the cops the second time he pulled the door open out of my hands he would have been laying on the ground." @michelliebean mentioned, "Acts like this after a guy got shot in the area over road rage? He’s so lucky you were calm. I probably would have given him a hefty shove!"
