Going grocery shopping is all fun and exciting until we have to load our purchases in the car after checkout. First, there's the balancing act that might go wrong when flimsy bag handles threaten to snap. Then comes the struggle of maneuvering them from the cart to the car, especially when the parking lot is a trek away. Bonus chaotic points if it's raining or snowing outside. However, one man went insanely viral on TikTok for his witty but effective way of making grocery shopping a cakewalk. Olivia White, a lifestyle content creator–who goes by @olivialaurawhite on the platform–shared how her husband handled the hassle with his brand-new purchase.

White starts her video by saying that her husband, Jeremy, often finds shopping at Aldi annoying, mainly because of the "logistics" troubles. That's when Jeremy is seen drawing out a foldable shopping cart from his car's trunk. White calls it a "Millennial Dad's version of the Nana shopping cart." The cart, which seemed to be made of sturdy plastic, was built with two tiers, each having a tray that could fit in a grocery basket. Jeremy sets up the cart by fixing the baskets on the tray and, with a confident smile, walks into the grocery store.

Using the cart was a smooth experience. Jeremy now had two tiers that could hold enough groceries for their weekly grocery run. White pointed out that her husband was too proud of his purchase. In fact, the cart attracted attention from the cashier, who said, "I think it's innovative," and Jeremy couldn't help but flaunt a proud smile. The most exciting part was at the end when the husband unloaded the groceries into the car trunk. No flimsy hands, no broken bag straps. All he had to do was lift the two baskets inside the trunk and fold up the cart. "How easy is that!" he exclaimed. White quipped in the caption, "Now it's his turn for the random purchases. I must say, his are a bit more practical."

Agreeing with White's remark, many TikTok users loved how handy this cart hack was and the viral video garnered over 17 million views in just four days. "Bring your own shopping cart should be a thing. No bags are needed. Just go home, carry the bins in and put everything away. No germy cart to share with everyone," pointed out @faxanfm. "I like to consider purchases like this as our version of our childhood toys when we were little, instead of a tiny little cart he's got up a big adult purchase shopping cart," commented @lotus_rebirth43. "So it's both effective and environmentally friendly. That's a win-win!" added @bijibon4

Speaking of grocery store shopping carts, there's an interesting theory that suggests that people who put their shopping carts back in their place have a striking personality difference from those who don't. An anonymous user posted on 4chan that it's the "ultimate litmus test for whether a person is capable of self-governing." Though abandoning the cart isn't illegal, those who return it to its place are doing the right thing. "Therefore, the shopping cart presents itself as the apex example of whether the person will do the right thing or not without being forced to do it," they explained.
