Michael Myers, the killer from the Halloween franchise, with his mask on is easily one of the scariest characters in movies. While a majority would run for their lives if they saw Michael Myers, one four-year-old madly loves the character. A video of Aria running towards 'Michael Myers' as the 'killer' turned up at her birthday party is winning hearts on the internet. Aria is a horror-mad kid and her mother, Rose Alvarado, surprised her with an appearance from Michael Myers.

Sticking to his character, Michael Myers hung around the birthday, before playfully stalking Aria. The four-year-old says she loves him as she looks around for the horror icon. She then spots him and runs towards him and jumps into his arms as soon as she sees him. "Myers surprised her at her birthday party, Can you tell she loves him?" the video was captioned rhetorically. The video shows Aria shouting "Michael Myers I love you!" as she ran to him. The man simply picks her up as she runs to him. The adorable video went viral in no time garnering close to 12m views and 2.5m likes. Jamie Lee Curtis also shared the video on her Instagram page.

Aria's mother, Rose Alvarado, said her daughter loves horror movies and knew she'd like nothing more than having Michael Myers at her birthday party. "She loves many spooky movies including 'Frankenweenie,' 'Coraline,' 'Corpse Bride' and especially 'Halloween' with Michael Myers." It was Alvarado's husband who donned the scary costume and the 'William Shatner' mask. Rose Alvarado was herself a bit surprised by how much her daughter enjoyed the visit. "We knew she liked him, but we did not expect her to react like that...Her reaction was so funny, so I thought I'd post the little video online."

Rose Alvarado also posted a follow-up video of Aria kissing the Michael Myers mask and of her wearing costumes of many horror icons. TikTok loved the video. "I love 'spooky' kids. So wholesome in a weirdly good way, wrote one person. Another jokingly commented, "Michael Myers: Everybody runs away from me, but no one ever runs towards me." Some were confused with one writing, "I don't know if I love or I'm spooked out by children being obsessed with serial killers." Many were proud to see kids grow up without the fear they had endured as children after watching horror movies. One person wrote, "Child these kids are different different. I was terrified of an open closet when I was a kid."

There are quite a few kids who take to horror movies and Coral DeGraves is one of them. As we reported, unlike her friends, she was never into Disney movies and loves horror movies and cosplaying horror icons. “Coral has never really taken to princesses and other things in that realm,” said the 7-year-old’s mother, Cheyenne. “She doesn’t necessarily turn her nose up to princesses or fairy tales; she’s just never shown a distinct interest.” Cheyenne helps create some of the costumes as girl costumes rarely include horror icons. “When you shop for children’s Halloween costumes, the boys’ selection has skeletons, zombies, ghouls, and monsters, while the selection for girls is extremely limited on these styles. We know there are more girls out there with the same interests and want to show them that they can totally be the same cool, gruesome creatures," said Cheyenne. Some of the popular characters the Coral has cosplayed include Pennywise from IT, the Joker, and the Bride of Frankenstein. “While she loves all things horror and paranormal, she is just as much your regular animal-loving, adventure-seeking Girl Scout,” said Cheyenne.
