He wanted a McFlurry badly so he decided to pose as a 'secret shopper' at a McDonald's outlet to try and get it.

Frequent customers of McDonald's will be familiar with how they often stop serving all their ice creams, claiming that their ice cream machine is broken. It can be very frustrating for customers to go all the way to the store only to discover that they have temporarily stopped serving ice creams. Hannah Grace—who goes by @palmbeachgirl on TikTok—and her partner decided to understand why this happened at most McDonald's outlets, and she recorded his interaction with the drive-through cashier.

The text overlay on the video reads, "When you're sick and tired of hearing 'no' from McDonald's." The duo pulls up to the woman at the counter and tells her that they have ordered a McFlurry, one of the popular ice cream dishes. She replies, "Unfortunately, we can't do McFlurries or any ice cream right now." Grace's partner does not waste any time and immediately tells the employees how he is a secret shopper working for McDonald's.

He does not stop there and adds that he is a regional manager. "So I was just wondering why the machines are down. I got a couple of calls saying that they're down in this area." The woman at the counter then goes on to reveal how somebody assembled the machine incorrectly, which means that it did not work any time they tried to make something. The man says that he would "mark" it down and asks who the manager is.

She tells him that it is "Samantha," at which point he understands that there is nothing that can be done since the machine itself is broken. The video concludes as they exit the store. People had a lot of interesting insights to share in the comments section about why the ice cream machines frequently broke. @crystal_riddle3 shared, "Work at McDonald's. The machines are very hard to clean and only certain people are trained to clean them. They could be put back together wrong." @idkshiet_ commented, "My husband used to work at McDonald's. It's only 'down' because they don't want to clean it.

@soo.sue.mee suggested, "Go back tomorrow and see if it's fixed lol." Grace posted a follow-up video taking their advice and revisiting the same outlet to see if they could get a McFlurry. They arrive and find out from the menu that the McFlurry is still not being served. Nevertheless, her partner tries placing the order, and the worker tells him they are not serving the McFlurry anymore. When he asks what exactly is wrong with the machine, they give the same reply that they have put it together wrong.

The man relents and decides to get a chocolate shake instead. Grace questions how they can have a milkshake without ice cream. They exit the outlet with the man contentedly sipping on his chocolate shake. People on the site were just as frustrated as they were and expressed their thoughts in the comments section. @mikaylapersak said, "It's a conspiracy! Mine has the same 'back soon' on the menu!"
