'When football makes you hungry, order Uber Eats...' the celebrities conclude in the ad.

Uber Eats, the food delivery platform, has surprised everyone with its new ad, featuring Bradley Cooper and Matthew McConaughey. The duo has shared a screen twenty years after their appearance in the movie "Failure to Launch," in 2006. Uber Eats’ 2026 Super Bowl commercial, created for Super Bowl LX, is part of a big-game marketing campaign to promote the online food service as a game-day essential. In the ad, McConaughey, a conspiracy theorist, is certain that football was invented only to make people crave food, whereas Cooper, an ardent sports fan, disagrees. Their funny debate, however, ends with a punchline: When football makes you hungry, order Uber Eats.
"When a quarterback runs, they call it a scramble," McConaughey tells Cooper, convincing him that football isn't only a sport. Instead, it's a technique to make people hungry. But nothing seems to convince the "American Sniper" actor. One after the other, McConaughey continues to unveil food clues hidden in the sport. "The field goal post is designed after a fork," he said, only to hear Cooper say, "That can't be true." The "Limitless" actor was sure that football in no way was designed to sell food, but then McConaughey reminded him of some players' names that mention food items. He even took Cooper to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and explained how its structure resembled that of a juicer. "It's all food, Bradley..." he shouted. In response, all the actor got was, "You are never going to convince me that football is selling food." And that's when Uber Eats takes center stage, urging people to order Uber Eats when hungry during football matches. Cooper, who hosts football parties at his home, told Rolling Stone that he loves making pizza for his friends and kids, but sometimes, he orders from Uber Eats. "I live in NYC. I use Uber Eats when we’re running around and don’t have time to cook, so [the commercial] is a nice fit," he shared.

Meanwhile, both actors, who have worked together before, seemed happy collaborating again. In fact, Cooper described it as a wonderful experience. "Working with Matthew was wonderful. Between takes, there was a lot of laughing and catching up. He was a great scene partner, and it’s been so long since we worked together. I was so happy to reconnect," he added. While there is no end to the debate about whether football really makes people angry, a poll of 2,000 sports fans found that people do order lots of food while watching events at home. Yup, that's right. The survey found that more than half (55%) of fans usually order food when they plan to watch a sports event at home. "Big American sporting occasions often feel like full-scale events. And that sense of occasion, paired with music, food, and shared moments, can make live sport more accessible and enjoyable for everyone," explained a spokesperson for Popeyes. Considering how important food is during important sports events, it is safe to say that Uber Eats did a fantastic job in collaborating with two big Hollywood stars for an excellent ad.
