A marine joked that his wife wont be able to complete an obstacle course made for the marines but she proved him wrong with her performance.
Most women go about in their lives trying to prove that they are no less capable than men in various fields. Especially when it comes to sports and physical activities, women often struggle with being seen as just as strong as the opposite gender. As a result, countless women take it upon themselves to dismiss those misconceptions stamped on them by society. Rita Bean, (@ritaabeann on TikTok), uploaded a video on her page that garnered applause from over 3 million viewers where she clapped back at her husband in the best way ever.
Through the overlay text on her video, Bean elaborated on how her husband, who is in the U.S. Marine Corps, claimed that Bean wasn't strong enough to complete an obstacle course. Those challenges are specifically made for training the Marines and it takes a lot of strength and stamina to make it from the start of the course to the end. But Bean wasn't about to swallow the disrespect and she set out to prove her husband wrong. She took on the challenge to run through the obstacle course while wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a black top.
At first, Bean had to run down a slanted way while balancing on two logs of wood. Then she had to hop on top of two logs and go over it. A man from the military guided her from the sidelines as Bean progressed in the course. Then she faced a tough obstacle which was a vertical climb over a wooden wall. But it seemed like a cakewalk for Bean as she easily finished her quick climb and hopped off on the other side. After crossing a couple more horizontal logs, she had to hang on an elevated bar and put in some effort to go from one end of it to the other. However, the victory was hers at the end of the obstacle course because she successfully finished it like a pro.
People in her comment section appeared to cheer Bean and how she confidently proved her husband wrong. @lilibet502 wrote, "I think he might be regretting his words. He knows the sassy words are coming for the rest of his life. About time you proved you can do it too." @kelseyb100 commented, "Nothing stronger than my will when someone says I can't do something." @estiekatemusic mentioned, "Whenever they say we can’t do something, we get extra strength to prove them wrong."
@__olivianoelle__ commented, "I probably wouldn’t be able to do this on a regular day but if my husband says I can’t do it, I’ll figure out a way to get it done." @7keism shared, "Girl I respect you so much because I’m in the army and I hate passion obstacle courses." @kellylouiseyount added, "When I was little my parents used to have me do that to wear me out. Spent most of my time trying and failing to climb the wall." @ellareisz remarked, "Get it! Short legs don’t mean anything! If there’s a will there’s a way! And that competitive spirit will get you through anything when they say you can’t."
